Just the start of my week and I already had the privilege of attending the Vation Ventures Global Summit—a gathering that brought together the entire enterprise sales ecosystem, including channel leaders, VARs, startups, VCs, and more. A recurring theme in many of the keynotes and breakouts stood out to me: AI in enterprise sales is often framed within outdated paradigms, focusing on "what we know" rather than the transformative power of AI. Many still cling to solutions and selling motions from the 2000s, failing to grasp the shift from the 4th to the 5th Industrial Revolution. The message was clear: legacy issues like data quality or power constraints are self-imposed hurdles, delaying inevitable AI adoption. Instead of simply addressing old pains with new products, the narrative needs to change. Enterprises must recognize that they are rooted in a 4th industrial mindset and that it's time to embrace AI, transitioning to the next industrial era. The reluctance to start the transformation often comes from a place of comfort, but the shift is inevitable—and the time to act is now. This event made it crystal clear: the future isn’t about incremental solutions, it’s about a paradigm shift within the Enterprise that Ai not only enables and leads and is the paradigm. As I reflected on these insights, it became evident that we’re standing on the precipice of a major transformation in the enterprise space. The shift from legacy systems and outdated sales models to a new era, driven by AI, isn't just a future possibility—it’s an immediate necessity. The summit reinforced that we need to stop seeing AI as a mere tool to enhance existing frameworks and start recognizing it as the foundation for a new paradigm altogether. This isn’t about catching up, but about embracing a mindset where AI is not just part of the solution—it is the solution. The enterprises that thrive will be those that take bold steps now, shifting their perspective from incremental fixes to complete transformation.

Sana, a Stockholm-based company specializing in AI for enterprise knowledge, recently raised $55 million in funding, bringing its total to over $130 million. The round was led by NEA, with participation from Menlo Ventures and other investors. Founded by Kadir M. Oner, Sana aims to enhance knowledge access through its platform, which integrates with various tech stacks to help assistants and agents make informed decisions using both structured and unstructured data. The funds will support global expansion and accelerate R&D in AI and experience design. Additionally, Sana acquired CTRL, an AI workflow automation startup, and announced new features that enable organizations to build custom AI agents without coding, empowering teams to tackle complex tasks collaboratively. Its products are already in use by enterprises such as Merck, Hinge Health, Electrolux, and Svea Solar.
