This past weekend, my exceptional WPO (Women Presidents Organization) mastermind group visited stunning Lunenburg, NS, where we spent two days focusing on business strategies and personal growth. One of the most revealing exercises involved exploring our personal core values in relation to our leadership. As someone who works in this space, it was fascinating to be a student in the room. The exercise highlighted how misalignments and their symptoms can show up in various areas of life. Aligning personal values with organizational values isn’t just beneficial—it’s good business. It leads to authentic and inspired leadership and a collaborative, motivated team environment. It boosts productivity, innovation, and customer experiences. Leaders who embody core values can often attract and retain talent more competitively. But the most powerful impact is deeply personal. When your values align, you feel more confident and fulfilled.
