Powder coating is an incredibly robust process. Components are exposed to extreme temperatures of up to 400 degrees for a prolonged period to ensure that the coating is durable and long-lasting. Additionally, sandblasting is a high-stress environment, with abrasives reaching speeds as high as 500 miles per hour, making it a highly effective method for preparing surfaces for coating. Before getting a part powder coated, it's crucial to make sure the piece is not already corroded or rusty. If the part is not in good condition, it may not withstand the coating process, leading to potential damage or complete disintegration. Therefore, it's essential to check for any signs of corrosion or rust before proceeding with the powder coating process. Silicone Resin Paint: Some applications like Ovens, Furnaces, Chimneys, Kiln, etc. products need to withstand high temperatures without deterioration of the functional characteristics. Silicone Resin with high temperature pigments mixed condition paint offers up to 400°C temperature resistance. Substrate surface should be clean & dry and paint can be applied in either Spray / brush method. Thickness : 20-25 microns (Max 50 Micron for Non sand blasted surface). After painting surface dried within 2 hours and hard dry takes overnight and full hardness achieved by heating to 200°C for 1 hour.

Applying a new topcoat to an existing epoxy system requires two minimum conditions can be met. The first is that the current system is soundly attached. The second is that the new coating can attach to the old. Smooth coatings are easily prepared to remove topical contaminants and produce a uniform mechanical tooth. This created profile is how the new coating achieves mechanical adhesion. In the case of an existing system with an irregular profile (quartz or flake), the prep method varies to de-gloss it uniformly. The video documents an epoxy quartz that needs a re-broadcast. Since the top coat has been in place for six months, it needs a fresh profile for the new epoxy. A 17” swing machine and abrasive pad are used to abrade the floor’s highs and lows. Fine quartz is added to help the pad scratch the floor more quickly. Once finished, a cleanup is done and the new system is applied. 🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸 #SURFACEPREPARATION #EPOXYCOATINGS

In this installment of our Powder Coating 101 series, we’re diving into the powder application process—where parts truly start to take shape. Here’s how it works: ⚡ Electrostatic Coating: We use an electrostatic spray gun to apply the powder evenly to all surfaces. The charged powder particles stick to the grounded metal, ensuring full and consistent coverage. 🔎 Precision Coverage: The electrostatic charge helps the powder reach even tricky areas like corners and edges, leaving no surface untreated. 🎨 Custom Finishes: We apply your choice of color, texture, or finish to meet your project’s requirements. Our team ensures the coating is applied at the right thickness to prepare the part for a durable, professional finish after curing. Have a project in mind? Let’s talk about how we can help. #PowderCoating101 #PowderApplication #PrecisionCoating #DurableFinish"

How to choose the right Wire Brush? Choosing the right wire brush is essential for efficient work. Start by considering the drive—whether shaft-driven, angle grinder-mounted, or stationary. Next, think about the shape: flat brushes for internal corners, cup brushes for surface grinding, and conical brushes for a mix of both. Finally, select the right material: steel for steel surfaces, stainless for stainless steel, and abrasive nylon for finer tasks. The right brush can significantly improve your work efficiency. If you need help choosing the right brush for you send us an email and we will help you! #WireBrushes #ToolSelection #Metalworking #Grinding #Sanding
