Do you struggle when others ethics don't align with your own? I was having a discussion the other day and said I understood completely but also said that's okay. Living your own ethics and owning them isn't something that happens overnight. It's gradual and it's a lightbulb moment when you get it. Insight, educating without being patronising and having discussions is when you know that you truly stand for something. You live your ethics. Staying true to yourself can be difficult but so can being a people pleaser. If you know what feels right to you then own that. The discussion ended with someone saying they needed to be more confident in their ethics and morals. I think just recognising that is a powerful first step. 👏 #confidence #ethics #mentalhealth

I’m teaching two ethics classes this week. The first hour sounds basic (where do ethics come from?), but is important. We sometimes don’t recognize how our moral compasses become flawed. And when we can’t recognize right and wrong, it’s easy go down the wrong path, personally and professionally.
