SEO feels like a maze sometimes, right? Here’s a no-BS breakdown of what’s actually working for SEO in 2024:👇 1️⃣ Start with topic clusters, not just keywords Instead of chasing individual keywords, group related topics into clusters. ↳ Example: “AI content” is your pillar page, while subtopics like “Does Google penalize AI content?” and “How to humanize AI writing” are supporting pages. 2️⃣ Prioritize search intent over volume High-volume keywords are tempting, but do they match user intent? ↳ Focus on answering specific, high-intent questions your audience is actually asking. Tools like Answer The People by Writesonic can help. Look into the search intent you want to address. Is it informational? or transactional? 3️⃣ Refresh & repurpose old content Old blogs sitting in your archive? Update them with fresh data, internal links, and optimized CTAs. ↳ Bonus: Repurpose the best-performing pieces into videos, carousels, or newsletters. 4️⃣ Build E-E-A-T into your strategy ↳ Expertise: Show credentials and real-world examples. ↳ Experience: Add author bios, testimonials, or case studies. ↳ Authority: Use reputable sources in your content. ↳ Trustworthiness: Secure your site with HTTPS, privacy policies, and clear navigation. 5️⃣ Use internal links like breadcrumbs Guide readers (and Google) through your site with strategic internal linking. ↳ Example: Link from a blog about “SEO tools” to your “free SEO checklist” page. SEO isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon where strategy outruns shortcuts. What part of this approach do you want to try first? Let's talk about search engines!🔍🤖 So search engines are basically content (information) aggregators. They collect, store and search all information imputed on the World Wide Web to give responses to search queries. As a content writer who wants their work to rank highly for target keywords, you need optimum knowledge of how search engines work. This is basically what Search Engine optimisation (SEO) is all about. To understand SEO, you need to understand how ranking factors work. In the past, we had old ranking factors like: 🔴 page loading speed 🔴 word length 🔴 meta descriptions 🔴 image descriptions Although some of these factors do not directly influence content ranking, others are still relevant. The new ranking factors that largely influence SEO are: 🔵 topical relevance 🔵 page responsiveness 🔵 page intersections 🔵 site architecture Overall, in order to achieve successful SEO results, you should: 🌑 avoid copying or duplicating content ⚫ not rely too much on AI ⚫ focus on unique and relevant content ⚫ use SEO tools to aid the process ⚫ remember that old rules don't work anymore This is a summary of what I learnt from Mr. Richard Okiasi's class on Search Engine optimisation. ------ Have you ever written an article or blog post that ranked highly on a search engine? If you haven't, start implementing good SEO strategies and wait for the results.🤗 #fasthirecontentwritingchallenge #day26

Learning from Smart people is Far better than reading Smart books " >Your website traffic will NEVER drop as long as you have ZERO traffic 😜 on your website. Jokes aside, here’s what I know ✅ Key Takeaways: ✔️ All are approximate data Whatever tools you use to analyze your website statistics—whether it’s Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console—you’ll always get approximate data. None of them provide exact numbers. ✔️ SEO doesn’t always take time Many believe SEO takes a long time, but that’s not always the case! Keywords with zero search competition can get ranked quickly, sometimes during the indexing process. 🔥 Fact: Better content can get ranked in a short time, even for competitive keywords, if you know what you're doing—even on a new site with low DA/PA. ✔️ There are no hard and fast rules in SEO SEO strategies vary widely. I’ve tested the same keywords across multiple sites and found different results each time. Relying on a single rule can harm your site, and that’s why different SEO experts use different strategies. ✔️ AI writing assistance DOES have a future Some writers think AI writing tools have no future, but that’s not true. While Google says they won’t allow AI-based content, the real focus is on spammy content. 🛑 Spamming is never allowed. ✅ If you use AI to assist in writing rather than fully writing the content, you can still rank well. Google itself has numerous AI/ML/NLP projects. There’s no stopping AI in content creation. ✔️ SEO is not an overnight game, but it should show progress If you don’t see any improvements within a month, it’s time to cross-check and update your content or website. ✔️ Website quality is key to SEO success A great SEO strategy on a poorly designed website won’t get you far. On the other hand, a well-designed site with minimal SEO can still perform well. Focus on website quality! #SEO, hashtag #LinkBuilding, hashtag #GuestPosting, hashtag #Backlinks, hashtag #OffPageSEO, hashtag #ContentMarketing, hashtag #DomainAuthority, hashtag #SERP, hashtag #AnchorText, hashtag #GuestBlogging.

🚀 What’s Working in SEO After Google’s Latest Update 🚀 https://lnkd.in/dcedDcPB With every Google update, the SEO landscape shifts, and it’s critical to stay ahead of the curve. Here's what's working NOW: 🔍 Prioritize User Intent: Google is focusing more than ever on matching search intent with relevant content. Understand what users are looking for and craft your content to meet their needs directly. ⚡ E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness): Building trust and credibility is key. Showcase your expertise through detailed, well-researched content, and establish your site’s authority through backlinks and citations. 📱 Core Web Vitals: Page speed, mobile-friendliness, and overall user experience are non-negotiable. These technical factors are now essential for ranking well. 🖋 High-Quality, In-Depth Content: Shallow articles are losing out. Long-form, well-structured, and informative content is outperforming short, superficial pieces. 🔗 Internal Linking: Google's update places more value on a strong internal link structure. Help users (and Google) navigate your site with relevant, thoughtful internal links. 🔄 AI Integration: AI-driven search is making its mark. Content that aligns with emerging AI tools like Google’s Bard can help ensure your site is future-proof. ✨ Final Tip: As SEO evolves, always remember—it’s about delivering real value to users. Gone are the days when I had to go through pages upon pages of search results to find specific information! Now, Today's SEO is about understanding user intent, the ultimate goal a searcher has when typing a query. Content can be created by prioritizing users' needs, which will improve both ranking and conversions. So, why is user intent so crucial in 2024? Google Prioritizes User Satisfaction: Google's algorithms are constantly evolving to deliver the most relevant results to search queries. If your content doesn't align with user intent, it simply won't rank well. Search Queries are Becoming More Complex: Users are no longer satisfied with basic keywords. They're asking specific questions and seeking in-depth information. Tailoring your content to these nuances is essential. The Rise of Voice Search: Conversational search patterns require a deeper understanding of user intent. Users are asking natural language questions, not just keywords. #seo #userintent #contentmarketing #seo2024

How Does Google Determine What is Quality Content and What is Not? Ever wondered why some websites with less content outrank those with more? It might seem odd, but Google has a sophisticated system to assess content quality. Here's a quick dive into how Google determines quality content: Relevance and Depth: Content must be relevant to the user’s query and cover the topic comprehensively. Originality and Authority: Unique insights and credible backlinks play a significant role. User Experience: Readability, mobile-friendliness, and engagement metrics like time on page matter. Trustworthiness: Accurate, transparent information builds trust. Technical SEO: Factors like page load speed and secure connections (HTTPS) are crucial. E-A-T Principles: Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness are key. What if we could leverage this automated quality assessment for ultimate SEO? Imagine an AI tool that generates thousands of pages, with Google’s system identifying the highest quality ones. It’s a fascinating thought for the future of digital marketing! #SEO #ContentMarketing #DigitalMarketing #GoogleSEO #QualityContent #AIinSEO #SearchEngineOptimization

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐄𝐎: 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 Stop words like "the," "and," "in" may seem insignificant, but they play a crucial role in your SEO strategy. While search engines once ignored them, today's sophisticated algorithms understand their importance in search intent. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫: Understanding Intent: Stop words help search engines grasp the meaning behind a search. For example, "best pizza in town" and "pizza near me" have different intents, and stop words like "in" and "near" are key to understanding that difference. Natural Language: Using stop words in your content makes it sound more natural and readable for both users and search engines. Long-Tail Keywords: Stop words often appear in longer search phrases (e.g., "how to fix a leaky faucet"), which can be valuable targets for your SEO efforts. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲: 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲: Don't force keywords into your content. Use stop words where they fit grammatically and make your writing flow smoothly. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬: Research longer search phrases that include stop words and create content that addresses those queries. 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Use stop words strategically in meta descriptions to make them more compelling and relevant to searchers. Remember: The goal is to strike a balance between keyword optimization and natural language. Don't overthink stop words, but don't ignore their importance either. By using them strategically, you can improve your content's relevance and visibility in search results. copy

Two things I love to see in green - Readability and SEO 💚 This is what I do before publishing a blog post: For readability: 1. Break things down into shorter sentences. (Type like you're writing for #LinkedIn) 🤏🏼 2. Ample number of line breaks and spacers make it easier to read. 👀 3. Write in active voice instead of passive voice. (I struggle with this a lot!) ✍🏼 4. Use the 'Hemmingway Editor' as a litmus test. (Aim for a lower score here!) 🧪 I'm not an expert (yet) on #SEO, but I try to keep things simple and follow some guides. Here are three things I do to keep my SEO scores in check: 1. Headings 👑 - Keep them clear (i.e. searchable) and ordered (H1 -> H2 -> H3 -> H4...) 2. Make your triangle point in one direction 📐- No more than three sub-topics that lead to your main topic. This gives your article more substance and helps you pick a 'keyword' for your SEO. 3. Meta-description 📃- I use Anthropic's Claude AI for this, which works like a charm. I paste the entire article in there and give it the following prompt: "Create a 100-character excerpt for SEO with 'xyz' as the keyword for it." Based on the results, I tweak it to include the keyword if needed... And boom, it's ready. 💥 What other steps do you include? #B2BMarketing #ContentWriting #Blogs ___________ P.S. - New blog post loading for Sapio Research! 💡
