There are so many many issues concerning license, patents, copyrights… sectors and global dynamics. I like working in writing, strategy and speaking and in and on…. When I was in high school… I was in a lot of clubs and sports. I took a speech and drama course at the same time as having a lead in Oklahoma (Andrew Carnes, really)… Well, my S & D teacher taught us about Stanislavsky… but in college I got more into learning through streetcars and kindness… I digress. We had to write and perform a real emotion through our own life… pause and then perform a scene that was not us… The choices of emotions were extensive but I came up with frustration (not on her list)… it’s a personal scene I won’t share here… but the performing one was someone struggling with addiction to cocaine… I did the scenes. And as I was in the second one… I was amazed at how much I was “in” it… my personal skill sets and understanding… it worked well. I was kinda raw but sitting on the stage looking for feedback (I always want to improve)… Mrs. Stokes gave me constructive feedback like I was in the “driving of car” part of my personal story too much (think Rocky IV ish)… I found myself trying to argue… investment and all… she said…

“Should I just tell you it was great?”… I think I said… no or shook my head. That lesson carried with me my whole life. When I was a copy writer and writing corporate events scenarios or writing emails to vice presidents on ideas I had… the feedback needs and emotional intelligence; it evolved in various ways, and.. being gifted and passionate… and having some trauma… the reality of knowing “thyself”… and being imperfect and seeking better… there’s no way for me to express my gratitude to my teacher for that…. But I’m grateful to many… there’s so much more to all this… but the scaffolding of us all… helps.
