Check out this article on Wine and Song about sparkling wines. #wine #wineandsongchicago William Gilmore
Check out my blog post on Bubbly Essentials! People always ask me about sparkling wines. Sparkling wines contain carbonation that occurs either naturally, as part of the wine making process, or is artificially introduced. Sparkling wines are usually light in color, but may also be rosé or even red. Champagne is a sparkling wine, but only wines made in the Champagne District in France are properly entitled to be called Champagne. Every other wine with bubbles is sparkling wine.

I found using flowcharts to understand the sequence, winemaking options, unique or common patterns across each of the D5 fortified wines: Sherry, Port, Madeira, VDN and Rutherglen Muscat helps with memory recall and review. I have also included key wines styles as a result of these winemaking flows. Check them out, I hope it helps! https://lnkd.in/gY6fWShp #wsetdiploma #wsetdiplomaunit5

🍇🍷🇺🇦 Sarah Abbott MW, a member of the tasting commission of TOP 24 Best Wines of Ukraine, describes the diversity and character of Ukrainian wines: “I think Ukrainian red wines are confident and established. We’ve tasted some international varieties — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and they were rich, intense yet very fresh. This combination of intensity and lightness in them is fascinating. I must admit you also make great Saperavi, and the Saperavi-Cabernet blends were really delicious! Speaking of local red varieties, I especially liked the unoaked Odesa Black, it‘s so exuberant. The white wines also have this freshness, which is, in my opinion, a part of Ukrainian wines‘ character”. More info about the winner wines and the jury on our website: https://lnkd.in/exQZY-VA
