My friend Kim Clark (2024 Culture Impact Lab Speaker) and I are doing a thing together this upcoming Monday. 👀 https://lnkd.in/gBS8kcn2 We will continue to see an overlap of social issues in the workplace, so Kim and I are hosting a session on navigating workplace culture and communications leading up to the 2024 election, and you’re invited! The intersection of culture, language, and the election will continue to fill our physical and Slack halls for the next 2 months...and will continue afterward as well. While we still feel pain from the fear of the unknown, it matters how we show up right now. Although this 1-hour session will be focused on the election, you’ll also get tools and guidance that speak to building our responsiveness to navigating conversations around social issues and potentially polarizing topics in the future: - an introduction to skills needed to navigate conversations around social issues and potentially polarizing topics. You’ll leave with a Community-based Inclusions Communications Guidance for Polarizing Topics - Kim and Angela will teach and then take your questions during the session and give you actions to take immediately so you have tangible work to put into action. You’ll leave with just in time guidance and review of a post, communication or content piece (for your organization, community, or client) you’d like our feedback on. Register: https://lnkd.in/gBS8kcn2 = FREE for Call for Culture Community of Practice Members and now just $47 for everyone else. Get the recording if you can’t make it live.

I had the opportunity to be a panelist on "Five by Five Connect: GenZ at the Workspace," hosted by our very own Divya Mohan Rao. Given my love to empathize with people, this session was particularly energizing, with the youthful confidence and enthusiasm of my colleagues from various verticals on full display. We delved into what goes on in the backstage of the GenZ mind and its integration into corporate dynamics. The 30-minute session was vibrant, as we kept the chatroom active, infused our conversation with GenZ lingo, and bridged generational gaps to foster inclusive dialogue. Driving home, something became evident amidst the chaos of Bengaluru traffic. "Beneath the memes and fancy bucket lists lies a generation driven by a desire to make impactful contributions, to reshape corporate cultures, and to propel sustainable progress." Ah, philosophy you would say. But I felt though each of us weaved a different design about GenZ at work, the base framework for this gen to thrive is maybe just 2 metrics: space and pace. The Space: Within the intricate tapestry of corporate environments, GenZ seeks a canvas where they can stretch their wings freely. Space isn't just physical; it's the liberty to innovate, explore ideas boldly, and carve out their unique path within organizational frameworks. They ACE in environments that offer not just room to operate but room to dream and create. Pace: If space sets the stage, then pace dictates the beat. GenZ moves with a rhythm that prizes agility over rigidity, seeing change not as a threat but as a catalyst for growth. Their knack for swift adaptation and iterative thinking keeps them ahead of the curve, deftly responding to market shifts and technological advancements. So, have you seen GenZ play their ace card in your workplace? pictured: Panelists on cards! (Like literally) Soundarya Prakash | Swathy Vivek | Tejas Krishnan | Swati Wakodikar | Divya Mohan Rao

What if moving talent across borders was as simple as moving pixels on a screen? In a world where talent knows no borders, we’re still using outdated methods to navigate complex global mobility. It’s time for a change. Think about it: we’re living in an era where work happens anywhere. But the rules and systems haven’t kept up with this shift. I’ve teamed up with a global mobility specialist, Michelle Durkin, to discuss exactly this. In just 30 minutes, we’ll unpack the complexities, challenge the status quo, and explore how to transform global talent management for the modern world. Join us for a livestream in our fractional community where we’ll dive into new approaches to cross-border talent and how we can make mobility as intuitive as the devices we use every day. #Buildersconference -- what an inspiring and informative experience! Thank you to Christopher Wink for facilitating such a thoughtful conversation around the future of innovation ecosystems. Our CEO, Kyle Samuels (he/him) weighed in on the realities of the modern-day workplace. Priorities have changed, and as a result, that means the way we show up and contribute to the economy will, too. As we move through life, our experiences help to clarify what's truly important, which ultimately drive our decisions when it comes to job commitments, in-person or remote life preferences, and how we compromise flexibility in exchange for compensation and benefits. As this landscape continues to evolve, keep in mind that you are the best -- and at times, the only -- advocate for the things you want and need in life. Even in an increasingly digital world, we value these opportunities to come together in an effort to better see, listen, understand, and connect, in order to show up, self-advocate, and adapt in this ever-changing world. #phillytechweek
