Here’s what you need to land this dream job: 1️⃣ Must solve the world's most complex algorithm in 30 minutes on a whiteboard, using dry-erase markers that are almost out of ink. Your code must look like it was written by a machine with perfect syntax, no typos, and, bonus points if you turn the whiteboard into a full-blown Picasso. 2️⃣ At least 17 years of experience in a language that’s been out for only 5 years. Yes, we’re looking for time travelers. 🚀 3️⃣ Be an expert in EVERY framework. React? Of course. Vue? Definitely. Angular? Absolutely. Oh, and why not throw in Svelte, Solid, Ember, Backbone, and that obscure one we’ll ask about just to see you sweat. 4️⃣ 100-step interview process: First, an HR chat, then 4 technical screens with completely different teams who will definitely not ask the same questions. In the 3 years I've been at Patreon, I've developed a lot of empathy for small companies that are operating with large code-bases that have a long-lived history (11 years for Patreon!).
