You started with a foundation and you immediately started roofing, Why? This is what most of us are doing with our brand. Your brand is a structure and you need to follow the process of building a structure. -The foundation -Framing -Setting up plumbing -Adding dry walls -Interior finishes -Exterior Finishes I consider the exterior finishes as how you present your brand to people. The interior as how they see your brand when they finally start working with you and the building process, as how strong your brand is rooted. So, if your exterior looks fine and interior looks ugly, clients would definitely quit working with you after a while vice versa with your building process. As good leaders of our organisations/brands, we should learn to follow every process to see our brand follows all processes so as to stand strong. What are your thoughts? Repost ♻ this now to help businesses. #linkedin #healthcareleaders #leadership

From my early days watching my father manage multiple factories to running Icon Projects, I’ve learned one key thing: you don’t lead by holding people back. You lead by pushing them forward. The heart of my leadership philosophy is to empower my team at every level—whether it’s our office boy, designers, or supervisors. Everyone gets the opportunity to make decisions, learn, and grow. Mistakes? They happen. But I believe that’s part of the learning process. I don’t lash out when something goes wrong. Instead, I ask: how can we fix this, and how can we make sure it doesn’t happen again? That’s how you build trust—and a team that’s invested in your business. Our team isn’t just doing a job; they’re playing a critical role in shaping our company’s future. That’s why we’ve been able to retain 65-70% of our team for over a decade. When people feel empowered, they stay, they grow, and they help you build a legacy. The best leaders build more leaders—because success is never a solo act, it’s a team effort that lasts. #InteriorDesign #HomeDecor #DesignInspiration #LuxuryInteriors #ModernDesign #SustainableLiving #InteriorStyling #CreativeSpaces #DecorGoals #DesignerHomes

The Special Sauce Accelerating Furniture Innovation: Harnessing Power and Authority Wisely In the dynamic world of furniture design, the speed of development is not just a competitive edge—it's a necessity. As leaders, it's imperative that we wield our power and authority not as a cudgel, but as a sculptor uses their tools: with precision and intent. This nuanced approach involves guiding our teams with a clear vision and strategy, while also giving them the space to experiment and learn from their mistakes. It's about setting the direction and then stepping back to let innovation unfold, ensuring that we're facilitating progress without dictating every step. 🔨 Empower, Don't Micromanage: Provide your team with the resources and autonomy they need to innovate. Trust in their expertise and encourage ownership of their projects. 🔄 Feedback Loops: Establish quick, iterative feedback loops. This ensures that ideas are honed and refined without languishing in the limbo of indecision. ⏱️ Set Clear Deadlines: Deadlines are the antidote to procrastination. They create a sense of urgency and focus, but be realistic; overly tight deadlines can stifle creativity and lead to burnout. Not everything can be first prority. 🎯 Focus on Milestones: Break down projects into manageable milestones. Celebrate these small victories to maintain momentum and team morale. 🤝 Collaborative Leadership: Involve yourself in the development process as a guide and collaborator. Your engagement can spur progress and inspire your team. By mastering the art of leadership, we can avoid the pitfalls of procrastination and keep our eyes on the prize: bringing innovative, high-quality furniture to the market swiftly. Let's lead with purpose and watch our teams—and products—flourish. #Leadership #Innovation #FurnitureDesign #ProductDevelopment #Teamwork www.modusfurniture.com

“It’s never been more important for brands to be decisive, thoughtful, and creative,” as Fiona Harkin of trend forecasting studio The Future Laboratory aptly states. The Living Room, published by the Design Leadership Network (DLN), is an essential read for anyone involved in design—whether it’s furniture, lighting, fabrics, carpets, wallpaper, or even outdoor landscaping. After all, the outdoors reflects within. I aspire to one day be a part of the DLN in my category, joining a community that collaborates with the world’s best—top architects, landscape specialists, and design professionals. This network includes some of the most esteemed and refined individuals, many of whom have earned prestigious accolades like the AD100. Figures like Michael Diaz-Griffith, Jamie Drake, and Kathryn Ireland are just a few among the many who inspire greatness in our field. At the core of their success lies a truth that Pablo Bronstein so perfectly expressed: if you simply follow the crowd, when challenges arise, everyone stumbles. Thriving in the face of economic hardship demands innovative thinking and the courage to embrace different perspectives, especially in times of uncertainty. One key takeaway from the leadership summit in Scotland was the wisdom shared by Hugo McDonald. He emphasized the importance of grounding ourselves through our interactions with materials and reflecting on Scotland’s rich heritage. The enduring value of craftsmanship cannot be overstated—it is the connection that brings meaning to our work. Craftsmanship elevates the everyday, transforming it into the extraordinary. Although I’ve yet to attend one of these conferences, I am deeply aware of the significance of the conversations that take place within them. It was particularly poignant to hear about the late Ron Toski Tumpowsky, a cherished partner and advisor to the DLN, whose legacy continues to influence the community. This year’s summit, held in the stunning backdrop of Scotland, was a celebration of design, history, and the timeless art of making things by hand. These values are at the heart of what I strive for in my own creative journey.
