I love this #Guinness add and it's messages around community and the power of together. I'd love to get your own thoughts into the comments on how you approach #people strategy. From maintaining connection with remote teams or business partners to building capability and talent development. I recently surveyed my team and our key internal and external stakeholders to aks them: How can we be better? The overwhelmingingly dominant themes coming back were all around people, community, connection and capabilities. As a global team supporting the brewing of Guinness in almost 50 breweries from Indonesia to Liberia to Guyana and everywhere in between our IT technology has made it increasingly possible to collaborate remotely, so essential during the Covid peak. But now, our brewing partners and key internal stakeholders told us they want to see more of us, spending more time physically together and more time invested in people, building and maintaining the critical capabilty to sustain quality and supply performance. What's more my team fed back the same themes. Despite a hectic schedule and ever increasing workload they crave more time both physically with their partner manufacturing site teams and more time together, sharing what works well and growing our own capability and connection. That is what gives them energy while adding most value. So, while it is great to have a clear vision, knowing that people and capbilities needs to be at the centre of our strategy is the first step, next question is how we best achieve this? I can't wait to get out in the world and working on this, nothing is more fun and energising than working on people and building connection accross communities but would love to hear your thoughts.

I wanted to share this video with everyone as I think its really important that if you brew beer or wine you actually know what it should taste like. It took me an entire afternoon to cut and 4 days to shoot. It is designed to give you an idea of where you can find all the dark beers in Dublin and give them a try. The key changes to the brew are... amount of malt (changes alcohol content) amount of dark malt (cooked for longer) gassing i.e. CO2 or Nitrogen hop types and amount and time left in. Essentially they are all the same, but these differences make all the difference to something that most people think is the same! The Science is so amazing of fermentation which is why you have degrees in the subject for Chemists! #science #brewing #dublin #stout #beer #fermentation

🏴SCOTSTOBERFEST 🇩🇪 I’ve turned on the news this morning and the first thing the BBC news have reported about Scotland fans drinking the pubs dry in Munich. Undoubtedly, us Scots like a drink…. Drinking Munich DRY though…? Was that a case of poor planning from the pubs, overindulgence by our travelling 200,000 strong Tartan Army? I looked up some stats on Scotland v Germany. 46% of Scottish adults drink at least once a week, lower than 50% across the UK. And there is evidence of an increasing number of adults in the country never or rarely (less often than monthly) drinking: 36% in 2021, up from 32% in 2018. German beer sales were down 4.5% in 2023 compared to the previous year, resuming a long-term trend of the nation famous for Oktoberfest, drinking less. Interestingly, the country that drinks the most beer in the world per capita is the Czech Republic, which consumes 184.1 litres per capita annually… not Germany! Munich bars may just be following their national market trend, but they certainly weren’t prepared for Steve Clark’s Barmy Army. 🏟️🍻 Summer 2024: A Strategic Window for Beer Sales! 🍻🏟️ As we reach mid-July, the malt supply chain is already seeing the benefits of the seasonal increase in beer consumption. This year, two major sporting events—the UEFA European Football Championship in Germany and the upcoming Paris Summer Olympics—are poised to further boost beer sales, even with the initially disappointing weather. The football tournament in Germany alone could add up to a 5% increase in beer sales, a boost reminiscent of the 2006 World Cup. This surge is driven by fans gathering in pubs, restaurants, and homes to watch the matches. Additionally, the Paris Olympics will highlight non-alcoholic options through a sponsorship agreement between the IOC and ABInBev, showcasing a strategic focus on responsible alcohol consumption. For detailed insights and analysis on how these events impact the malt supply chain and beer industry, subscribe to RMI Analytics GmbH's comprehensive journals. Stay ahead with data-driven insights that help you navigate and capitalise on market trends. Here's to a summer filled with thrilling games and responsible enjoyment! 🍻⚽🏅 #BeerSales #Summer2024 #UEFA2024 #ParisOlympics #ResponsibleDrinking #SportsMarketing #BeverageIndustry #NonAlcoholicOptions #ABInBev #CheersToSummer

Last week was an exciting one as the European Beer Group (EBG) was relaunched by its co-chairs, MEPs Tomáš Zdechovský and Hannes Heide, at our #BeerServesEurope gala. 🍻 🔸 The EBG is a network of MEPs from across Europe who talk about what matters in #beer while supporting the responsible and #sustainable development of the brewing sector across the EU. 🔸 By facilitating conversations between different stakeholders, it aims to put beer at the centre of Europe’s ambitions for growth and #competitiveness. 🔸 Through various activities, such as events, debates, study trips, and beer tastings, EBG offers its members a unique opportunity to unite and stay informed on beer-related issues. Read more about how EBG advocates for policies that help keep #beer at the heart of European society, culture, and economy ➡️ https://loom.ly/Kxf_2DI

The European Championship 2024 is about to begin – what better time to share fun facts about different cultures and countries than now? ⚽ Germany and Scotland play the opening match – let’s start there: Both countries have a rich and varied history and share beautiful landscapes and a love of soccer. Of course they also have their own distinct festivals and traditions: Germany 🇩🇪: Oktoberfest: the world's largest folk festival takes place in Munich. It attracts millions of visitors who want to experience German culture, beer and traditional Bavarian dress such as lederhosen and dirndls. 🎡👗 Beer culture: Germany has a strong beer tradition with over 1,300 breweries and more than 5,000 different types of beer. In 2023, the average beer consumption in Germany was around 91.6 liters per capita. 🍻 Sunday rest: In Germany, it is forbidden by law to mow the lawn or hang the washing on Sundays. So, if you need a really quiet day, move to Germany! 😴 Scotland 🏴: Highland Games: These traditional events include competitions such as log throwing, hammer throwing and rope pulling. They are an important part of Scottish culture and take place annually all over the country. 🔨 Whisky: Scotland is famous for its whisky. There are over 120 active distilleries and the whisky trails in regions such as Speyside are very popular with tourists. 🥃 Kilts in everyday life: It is not uncommon for Scottish men to wear their kilts on formal occasions. And yes, the question of what is worn underneath remains a well-kept secret (at least to the rest of the world)! 🤫 We’re curious which cultural differences will be visible during the championship – how do you think each country will represent themselves through their team? 🌎⚽ #globalmobility #hrconsulting #championship #germany #scotland #culturehackers #culture
