This is one of the best summaries I have seen about Assad’s messy regime in Syria, which is no more because the Russian and Iran support was already unsustainable, how this benefited the Kurds, and the uncertainty of the Syrian people’s future. This article is from the Daily Wire, and you won’t see this kind of objective analysis in any of the liberal/leftist/lying/decaying garbage main news outlets. Of course, with the coming administration in our country, we now have a pretty good idea of Iran’s future. https://lnkd.in/e48we5_K?

From Paul Larudee at FPM News: Some of you are probably aware of the initiative below, which provides powers rarely invoked by the UN, and which cannot be vetoed. In principle, it can even empower the use of peacekeeping forces to be used by willing countries, but the only time that happened, the GA United for Peace resolution was sufficient by itself for the Security Council to agree to send forces in 1956, without having to override a veto. As with the ICJ rulings, the difficulty is with the implementation. What countries would be willing to send troops to end the genocide, and would those countries most likely be ones considered hostile to the US and the West, and therefore set off a major world war? I consider that unlikely, but only because such countries will not send troops in the first place. In practical terms, if the most powerful nations do not agree on the implementation, there will be none (except by heroic Yemen). Because of this, Israel and the US can simply ignore United for Peace actions. Nevertheless, there is no harm in invoking the procedure, and we never know what might result from it.

"Under the Assad regime, the future of Syria and its people was always predetermined by one man. Now, for the first time in decades, we have the opportunity to shape our own future and the future of our country. For me, this moment signifies resilience, perseverance, and the belief that change is possible. It is a reminder that despite the challenges ahead, Syrians have a chance to build a free, fair, and inclusive nation. While the road will undoubtedly be difficult, this is a moment to dream of a better tomorrow—and to work toward making it a reality." Read Dr Haid Haid ( حايد)'s latest piece for The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy on Syria's transition and the key issues to watch out for these next few months. https://lnkd.in/dagdYDgF
NEW: On December 8, the 54-year Assad regime family rule came to an end. The weeks and months to come will be critical for Syria's transition. In this new piece, TIMEP speaks with Dr Haid Haid ( حايد) to unpack what happened and what's to come. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eKSkRw-w. "External actors must support a Syrian-led transition while providing guarantees for inclusivity and fairness. Equally important is the need to prevent HTS from monopolizing the process or imposing its unilateral vision on the country. In this context, it is vital to monitor how international actors wield their influence and leverage," Haid told TIMEP.
