CRISPR Gene Editing: Redefining the Genetics of Honey Bees I followed sci literature on CRISPR for more that 5 years AND 🐝 at #10th EurBeeConnferennce, I was impressed by a talk on CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in Apis mellifera species. Changing a honey bee's phenotype with precision 🧬—if you know, was made and pigmentation characteristic was edited/ changed. This tech procedure, shared by a young scientist from Würzburg, was a BiG „aha moment“ to me. As research push boundaries, it’s crucial to consider ethics and impact on natural history 🌱, but it’s worth exploring potential. #EurBee2024 #BeeTech #CRISPR #Innovation #BeeHealth
