Oman, KSA discuss economic cooperation
MUSCAT: Sheikh Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidi, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, received Engineer Khalil bin Salim al Saleh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Authority’s headquarters in Muscat Governorate. During the meeting, opportunities for economic cooperation in the fields of special economic, free, and industrial zones between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, and ways to maximize the benefits from production chains and raw materials in factories located in the special economic zones and free zones of both countries were discussed.

The Ministry of Finance participated in the 39th meeting of the Gulf Joint Market Committee in Qatar, addressing various essential topics concerning the common Gulf market. The discussions focused on the continuous collaboration and coordination among the GCC countries to enhance the process of joint Gulf economic action to meet the interests, aspirations, and hopes of the leaders and peoples of GCC countries.
The committee, considering decisions from the Supreme Council and the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, reviewed its action plan and provided recommendations on various matters concerning the common Gulf market.
