Woohoo! Two amazing years at Google, what a ride it has been! I am not going to make a list of the top lessons I learnt, we are all too different for that to make sense. But here are the highlights from the past 24 months: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: I'm so grateful to be part of this team, it is challenging and rewarding! 𝟮. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀: It's been awesome working with such a cool group of people that during lunch time can easily talk about work, geo-politics, history, science and even explosives! 𝟯. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Working on some cutting-edge tech that's making a real impact throughout the company. 𝟰. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲: It is real and I guess it will never go away but it pushes you to go beyond your limits and fears 𝟱. 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁: I've had the chance to travel the world and already visit 11 Google offices (soon to be 12!). It's been a wild ride but a fun ride, full of new perspectives and mind-blowing experience. Proud today and every day.  Great to see Alphabet/Google ranked #2 on Forbes’ America's Best Companies list. It’s not just a recognition, it’s a reminder of why I’m here. After 18 Years people often ask me why I’ve stayed. My joking answer is “Nothing better has come along” but the truth is, I stay for: 👨🔧 The people: brilliant, diverse minds who think big and act fast (and responsibly) to solve meaningful challenges for users, customers and partners.  📱 The products: Search, YouTube, Maps, Android, Workspace, Gemini and much more. Google helps me and billions of others discover and understand the world around them and with life’s big & small decisions. ℹ The mission: Google’s continued focus on making all of the world’s information universally accessible to users is personally important to me. It's 9 am on September 1st 2014 I take a deep breath and step into the Google office in Wrocław for the first time. Bright colors, big open spaces, people everywhere. It was a whole new world compared to my small business experience in Italy. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I'd landed a dream job at one of the world's most innovative companies. But alongside the excitement, there was a nagging feeling of self doubt. I was surrounded by brilliant minds from top universities across the globe. I started to think "What did a small town Italian boy have to offer?" Imposter syndrome hit hard that first week. Every conversation felt like a test, I'd nod along, pretending to understand complex technical jargon, all the while feeling like a fraud. But slowly, something shifted. I realized Google wasn't just about being the smartest person in the room. It was about curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to learn. I started taking on challenges, and contributing my own unique perspective. 10 years later, I'm grateful of the privilege to work on projects I never could have imagined. I've made lifelong friends, learned from the best managers & mentors in the industry, and witnessed the incredible impact technology can have on the world. 9 years ago, Google's company culture changed my life. I had just finished my studies and took a job in a French firm. I didn’t feel: ❌ Valued ❌ Part of a team ❌ Or connected to the mission I was working on. I was lost. The wake-up call came when I visited Google headquarters. I met people: → From diverse backgrounds → United by shared values → And a common mission. It made me realize how disconnected I felt in my current role. So I immediately told my wife I was resigning. And eventually, I was offered a position at Google! (I accepted it without hesitation.) Today, as a startup founder, I want to build company values as strong as what I felt at Google. So far, we’ve implemented 4 big values: 1️⃣ Empowerment: To help our employees and customers reach their full potential. It means providing tools, support, and trust. 2️⃣ Inclusivity: Diverse voices and perspectives fuel our innovation and help us create solutions that resonate with a global audience. 3️⃣ Continuous Learning: Just as our platform is designed to help customer service teams continuously improve. Everyone at Smart Role must have the opportunity to learn, evolve, and advance in their careers. 4️⃣ Transparency: The heart of everything we do. Tl;dr Goodbye Google! Today marks my official last day at Google after 11+ years. I’ve been lucky to have a career filled with truly incredible mentors, peers and lifelong friends, and that was certainly true of the ones I made at Google. A big transition is always a moment that causes you to pause, reflecting on the experiences that stretched you. Here are some of mine: 🌊 The importance of staying 'uncomfortably excited', and maintaining constant growth 🤝 The quality of the performance is about the alignment of players and how well they come together for the game; something I experienced time and again during my years at Google 🪄 Change is constant and the ability to remain flexible is a must; embrace change!  With this in mind, my next step will be to bring my experience and insight to resolve seemingly obstinate problems for other businesses. More on that to come, but for now a big thank you to my fellow Googlers, partners & clients, both past and present, for being a large part of my life over the past decade+. It’s been an honour to grow alongside you. It's been nearly two months since first stepping into Google! It has been quite an adventure to say the least. Apart from navigating around the office and discovering the best MKs (micro kitchens) 😋, I've also been immersing myself in all things apps and empowering app developers with tools and strategies for profitable growth. Also, a special shoutout to my manager Saad Hamid and everyone on the team that has been so ready to offer help and advice❤️ While diving into new experiences can feel slightly overwhelming at times, here are the things that have helped me along the way: ✏️ Breaking down tasks or information into smaller, manageable chunks makes daunting tasks feel less intimidating and more achievable. 🧘♀️ Taking mindful breaks! Being overwhelmed clouds your thinking, so I like to take deep breaths to bring myself back to the current moment. You’re more likely to return to the challenge with a fresh perspective after. 📓Prioritization is something that continues to be important to me. Organizing to-do list’s by ranking tasks from urgent to less urgent ensures that critical tasks are addressed promptly while maintaining flexibility for less pressing ones. I’m so excited to see what the months ahead have in store 🚀🚀

Guess what? Today is my 4th Googleversary! 🎉 It's been an incredible journey so far, and I've had the privilege of working with some of the most talented engineers, researchers, product managers, and field consultants in the world. Together, we've made some real progress in building cloud infrastructure for our largest customers, contributing to weather research, and now bringing Google’s artificial intelligence to business and consumers. One of the things I appreciate most at Google is its deep pocket of technology and engineering knowledge, and Google’s openness. I can read some of the most complex yet readable design and code. It feels that I am communicating with those passionate engineers all the time. Anything I wish that we could do better. Sure there is, in my personal opinion, it is to focus more. Focus on engineering excellence, focus on the most important product, focus on an easy to understand mission that rallies us around it. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my Google journey, I’d like to focus on Speech technology. I believe that this field has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology, and I'm eager to be a part of it.
