Every month, we press pause. Not to look at numbers. Not to push deadlines. But to celebrate our people. Our monthly company meeting is the heartbeat of our culture. → We give kudos. → We spotlight wins, big and small. → We connect as humans, not just coworkers. It's more than a meeting. It's an intentional moment to recognize what really matters → our team and the relationships that drive everything we do. When we take time to celebrate people, the results follow. But you can’t fake it. You have to mean it. This month’s meeting? It was filled with gratitude, laughter, and even a few teary-eyed moments. How does your team celebrate wins and foster connection?

Your people are your biggest asset, and it's critical you treat them that way. Last night, we celebrated an incredible year with our amazing Chapter 2 team at our Christmas party—and it was a reminder of just how important it is to value, support, and celebrate the people who make everything possible. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that the people around you are what make or break a business. At Chapter 2, we’re constantly striving to bring in the right people—those who see the bigger picture, share our values, and want to be part of something meaningful. Building a great business isn’t just about revenue or growth; it’s about creating a space where people feel they belong, thrive, and can bring their best selves. Watching our team grow, adapt, and support each other has been the most rewarding part of this journey. Last night wasn’t just about celebrating the successes of the year but about honouring the incredible individuals who’ve made it all possible. How do you build a people-first culture in your work?

At Awardco, we strive to "recognize the good"—in our employees, our clients, and the world around us. Yesterday, I experienced the profound impact of this principle firsthand. I lead an incredible team tackling an ambitious Q4 revenue goal. My role requires a careful balance of resource stewardship, culture-building, and navigating challenges as they arise. It’s rewarding work, but some days can be especially stressful. Yesterday was one of those days. Out of the blue, two old friends—people I don’t work with and who aren’t in my immediate space—reached out to express kindness and encouragement. Their words were simple yet deeply meaningful, alleviating some of the stress I’d been carrying. This experience was a powerful reminder of why recognizing the good matters so much. It uplifts individuals, fosters positivity, and strengthens the culture we’re building. To my team, peers, and everyone working toward big goals: remember to acknowledge the good. It has a ripple effect far greater than we often realize. To Brandon Williams and DJ Strader thanks for your friendship and kind words.
