Staying in to watch the football at home? The Brits don’t really need a reason to visit the On Trade, but the Euro’s will provide a strong pull for even the lightest of drinkers to get together and experience that great pub atmosphere. However, for those that are looking to support from home, multipacks of cider are proving to be great value for those special occasions. Consumers are finding two of Westons multipacks especially appealing… the Stowford Press 10 x 440ml can pack has grown 34.4% in the past year, against a category that’s growing 4.4%. In a similar position, in crafted cider, is the Henry Westons 500ml x 6 pack, which is growing at an impressive 41.6% year on year, and is now a top 25 cider sku. Read more about the category and the trends for the year ahead in the latest Westons Cider report today: https://lnkd.in/eE3G_zX7 Source: Circana Infoscan 52 w/e 20th April 2024

Tucker's Tiki Bar & Grill, located in the verdant expanses of Campbellsville, Kentucky, not to be confused with any political commentators or TV hosts named Tucker, though the name might bring a chuckle or two due to the association. Here's the lowdown with a sprinkle of humor, as you might expect from a guide inspired by the likes of Douglas Adams: - Location: Nestled at 1293 Lone Valley Rd, within the Green River Resort RV Park. Yes, it's a place where you can park your RV and then immediately forget about the woes of the road with a tropical twist. - Opening Hours: This little slice of paradise operates from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm most days, stretching to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, because even tiki gods know you need that extra party time. - Ambiance: Imagine walking into a place where every day feels like a luau. Palm trees, possibly some tiki masks, and if you listen closely, you might hear the soft whisper of a simulated ocean breeze, or maybe that's just the HVAC system doing its best impression. - Cuisine: While I don't have a menu in hand, expect the usual suspects of tiki bar fare: drinks with little umbrellas, perhaps a Mai Tai or a Zombie, and food that pairs well with rum. Think along the lines of anything that could convincingly be served on a beach.

I've spoken about this before but as other Distilleries have recently posted about Bottles they are launching, that cost the same as a rather nice new car, you might wonder, who actually figures-out the TRUE cost of Scotch Whisky, to the UK? There are now 150+ Disilleries in Scotland and dozens and dozens of them have BETTER 'stock' than this, to compete in a '15 year old to retirement age' Market. How MUCH stock? We're 'officially' told there are 'about' 20,000,000 Casks in all of Scotland but an afternoon on Google Earth (or a wee drive around Clackmannanshire, Fife and Ayrshire) will tell you, it's very clearly, much MUCH more than this. Also, as a Cask filled in as recently as the year 2000, is now considered 'old and rare' how many bottles in total are now worth £300+, never mind £30,000+? Remember, it's a GLOBAL Market with billion+ populations, in Continents all over the world not only taking part but growing, massively. Scotch is only 2% of the ENTIRE Indian Whisky Market, the largest in the World. Just 2%. If a 24 year-old, fairly unspectacular bottle (in competition terms) of The Dalmore is £5,000, what does this value the ENTIRE Scotch Whisky Market at? This ISN'T a stock that's depleted, it's getting much bigger. Every year, it gets replenished. Why on EARTH don't we have a cohesive Scotch Whisky Tourism Strategy and Budget? One NOT linked to any one Company, who may (or may not) be performing well? #ScotchWhiskyTruths

On the back of my recent post about pricing for the 18 or 19 year old Whisky, which definitely seemed to strike a chord...have a gander at this!! Maybe Dalmore didn't check the market? for their three new bottlings. WOW. 15 at £300 17 at £1,000 24 at £5,000🙃 That is pretty bold current pricing! Think they may need some fair winds, good luck🙏🥃 #whiskylife #whiskydream #whiskylover

Two weeks ago we attended the Craft Brewers Conference in Las Vegas, one of the longest running and biggest craft beer events of the year. I heard repeatedly from other vendors that the show was “slow” for them and that “traffic was down” this year. The craft beer market isn’t what anyone would consider a hot market anymore. The days of easily posting 20%-30%, and in our case, even 500% growth years by just showing up and collecting orders are behind us. But we had our most successful CBC ever. Why? Because we work to provide value at these events…not just ask for money. Here’s how we did that this year: 📍Location, location, location—we were fortunate enough to land a prime spot just inside the main entrance to the expo hall. If attendance is down, you better make sure you get the traffic. Spending 60% of the money for 10% of the results is a bad strategy. ⚙️We created an interactive experience in our booth to allow folks to play with our machines, see how cans are made, and actually use our products. Wouldn’t you be more comfortable spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars if you’d actually tried the thing you’re buying? 🎓We seek to teach and inform, not just try to “sell”. I love asking questions about what is keeping our customers up at night…and then providing any insights or experiences we have that might alleviate that pain. 👷♂️To that end, we didn’t just send 11 sales people to the show. We also sent engineers, tech support, canning line operators, and executives—the ones that have actually done the work and solved the myriad of problems our customers face. We have people stop by our booth every year just to chat and access the canning brain trust. That’s unreal value…for FREE. ❤️🔥We’re not romantic. We love beer. But consumers tastes are shifting and beer isn’t paying the bills like it used to. We’ve worked hard to ensure we have solutions for our customers as they adapt to this new age of beverage. What are the best trade show experiences you’ve seen??
Once a year we roll out all our machines and hit the floor of the Craft Brewers Conference and Brew Expo. It’s one of our favorite events of the year and a rare chance to see so many of our brewing customers from across the nation (and world). Thanks to everyone who stopped by today. Our feet are tired but our cup is full. If you’re in Las Vegas and haven’t stopped by yet, be sure to stop by Booth 1714 tomorrow before show close. On-site (and in video 😉) you’ll be one of the first to see our newly updated AT-1, as well as the fastest filler for its size, our new 60 CPM AT-6. Not on site or have a question about machines?
