🚗💡 Minnesota's breaking barriers in clean energy! By allowing high-voltage power lines along highways, the state is setting a precedent for faster, more efficient infrastructure development. Imagine smoother permitting processes and reduced opposition – it’s a game-changer! As more states follow suit, we're edging closer to our climate goals. Who's excited to see this roll out nationwide? Share your thoughts and experiences! [https://lnkd.in/eyJei92c) Growing up, I saw first-hand how long it takes to get new energy projects off the ground. It's astonishing to think that by simply using existing highway corridors, we can cut down on years of red tape. Are there other innovations like this out there that could help us leapfrog challenges in the energy sector? I've seen statistics that say the U.S. needs to double or triple its high-voltage transmission capacity to meet climate goals. What do you think about using highway rights-of-way as a solution? Let’s discuss this in the comments below! 🚀 #CleanEnergy #Innovation #Sustainability #ClimateAction #EnergyTransition

$4.3 Billion to Transform Our Climate! Big news from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)! They've announced an unprecedented $4.3 billion in funding for 25 groundbreaking climate projects. Imagine slashing greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of taking 5 million homes off the grid over 25 years. Here's what's happening across the U.S.: 🌽 Nebraska: Cutting agricultural waste and boosting energy efficiency with $307 million. 🏭 Pennsylvania: Reducing industrial pollution and creating 6,000 new jobs with $396 million. 🚛 Southern California: Decarbonizing freight vehicles, setting a new standard for clean transport. 🌿 Michigan & Tribal Partners: Pioneering new renewable energy projects. 🌊 Atlantic Coastal States: Preserving wetlands to sequester carbon. 🔥 Alaska: Replacing oil-burning systems with cutting-edge heat pumps. 🏡 Nez Percé Tribe: Retrofitting homes for enhanced energy efficiency. Why This Matters: This initiative will cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 971 million metric tons by 2050 - that’s like removing the carbon footprint of 215 million cars for an entire year! 🚗💨 Imagine the impact on our air quality and climate. At TerraPro Solutions, we are beyond excited to see these initiatives come to life. This step forward aligns with our mission to innovate and implement sustainable solutions that pave the way for a greener, cleaner future! #ClimateAction #Sustainability #GreenEnergy #FutureIsNow #RenewableEnergy

It's another great day at the Colorado Energy Office. $129M was anounced for CEO from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s #ClimatePollutionReduction grant. #Colorado's application includes 1) methane emissions monitoring and capture projects that have a large potential for emissions reduction but need additional study and funding, 2) funding for large commercial buildings which are a major source of emissions and are hard to decarbonize, and 3) support for local governments who have a major role in reducing emissions in several key sectors of the economy, and the urgent need to increase their capacity to do that work. https://lnkd.in/gPYZpwrd

Colorado, our home state, continues to lead the way in decarbonization! The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded the Colorado Energy Office $129 million to invest in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 💸 A significant portion of this funding will go toward incentives to decarbonize large commercial buildings and a new Local Government Climate Action Accelerator, which will help cities and counties reduce emissions from buildings, among other things. 🏫 At AtmosZero, we are excited that the importance of decarbonizing buildings is being recognized and addressed. And we are ready to help. Our Boiler 2.0 can replace fossil-fueled industrial boilers with a drop-in, electrified steam boiler designed to deliver low-cost, decarbonized steam by capturing heat from the air. ♨ Read the full announcement here: https://bit.ly/4cpunZ7 #colorado #cleanenergy #heatpumps #netzeroindustry #decarbonization #innovation

A good day in Dover. Senate Bill 265, the offshore wind procurement bill legislation, has been successfully passed by the Delaware State Senate today. The Nature Conservancy is in full support of this development, advocating for rapid and sustainable offshore wind projects that prioritize the use of the best data available, mitigation strategies, and engagement with key stakeholders. As we work towards a cleaner and more sustainable future, it's important to prioritize the protection of our natural habitats and species. Thank you Sen. Hansen, Governor Carney, DNREC, and all the advocates who worked so hard to create SB 265. Read more about clean energy and offshore wind in Delaware here:

Final highlights of Pheonix, Arizona visit. The meeting with city council was beyond amazing. We explored plans of energy management, on and off-grid solar power targets, waste management and EVs. Interesting FACT; Phoenix has been recognized as a leader in environmental action by consistently achieving an “A” score in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). This distinction is part of CDP’s global ranking system that evaluates cities’ environmental performance, focusing on their efforts to mitigate climate change, adapt to its impacts, and promote sustainability. To earn this high ranking, Phoenix has demonstrated strong climate action, particularly in its disclosure of environmental data and the adoption of policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving water management, and addressing other climate-related risks. The city’s ongoing commitment to becoming carbon-neutral by 2060 is a key component of its leadership in environmental action CDP. #pheonix #CDP #ClimateChange #CarbonNeutal2060 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)

We must protect our planet, not just for ourselves but future generations. This entails managing trash and energy resources at home as responsible individuals, but it's also imperative for governments and corporations. Environmental stewardship isn't merely an agenda; it's a conscious principle. That's why we must manage all energy sources to ensure security and safeguard our planet. Our unique home provides us with the resources necessary for survival, making it our solemn duty to care for it earnestly. Let's pause to reflect on the significance of preserving our planet this Earth Day. Taking care of our planet is our collective responsibility, And we strive to maintain it for future generations.
