I’m humbled to share an article I contributed to, featured by the Entrepreneurs' Organization: How to Harness Unique Abilities to Stand Out as an Entrepreneur. A huge thank you to EO for not only celebrating entrepreneurship but for showcasing the incredible diversity that fuels it in all its forms. Their openness to stories like mine reflects the importance of embracing unique journeys, perspectives, and abilities. When my son was being assessed for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) earlier this year, I never imagined it would lead me to my own diagnosis at age 41. Initially, I felt nervous about sharing this newfound part of myself. But as I’ve leaned into understanding my neurodiversity, it’s been incredibly validating—it has helped me make sense of so many aspects of my life. Autism is a spectrum, and I know not everyone’s experience looks like mine. Some individuals face barriers that require additional support from the broader community. I’m committed to advocating for a world that’s more inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or experience. By sharing this part of my story, my hope is to help others—maybe even you—understand your own neurodiversity. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a parent, or someone simply curious about their unique wiring, knowledge is power. If my story resonates or sparks curiosity, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s continue fostering a community that thrives on empathy, understanding, and the belief that everyone’s unique abilities contribute to a richer, more innovative world. #Neurodiversity #Entrepreneurship #Inclusion #AutismAcceptance

Growth rarely happens in comfort zones. Entrepreneurs and small business owners understand this well. 🌟 October is #SmallBusinessMonth in Canada—a time to recognize the innovators driving our economy. Throughout my life, inspiring individuals with entrepreneurial mindsets have shown me that confidence is about trusting yourself to move forward, even without all the answers. Moving across countries, regions, and sectors, I've discovered that innovation and transformation begin in the unknown. 🌟 I celebrate the courage of small business owners venturing into new territories, as we uncover incredible opportunities on the other side. To all business owners taking risks, creating opportunities, and enriching our communities—thank you! #EmbraceChange #SupportSmallBusiness #Entrepreneurship #CanadianBusiness

Our research shows how family meals 'feed' the fire of entrepreneurship - please see a translation of our research below. Personally, growing up in a family with multiple entrepreneurs, I know how important family meals are to inspiring entrepreneurial passion, helping family members solve problems with their business and ideas, and offering emotional support. I raised two children who started their own businesses before the age of 20 - so take it from me - family meals matter in feeding the entrepreneurial fire! 😉 Holly Eddleston Evan Eddleston D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University Northeastern University Center for Emerging Markets at Northeastern University (CEM) #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #familybusiness
