Damn! I lost a client 😔 Yes! Yesterday, I lost a client—my very first Clewer Communications client. Am I upset? Absolutely. He was a fantastic client who supported me from day one. But as my business has grown, along with my team and the services we offer, I’ve had to adjust my pricing accordingly. Unfortunately, this means he can no longer justify having us manage his social media. While I’m definitely gutted, I also see this as a milestone of growth. What Do You Do When Your Ad Platforms Are Down? Here are some actionable steps you can take: Analyze Impact: Assess how the downtime affected your campaigns, including any changes in performance metrics or missed opportunities. Communicate Updates: Keep stakeholders informed about the resolution of the issue and any impacts on campaigns. Share plans for recovery. Be on the offense. Adjust Campaign Strategies: Modify your campaign strategies based on insights gained from the downtime. This could include reallocating budgets or adjusting target audiences. Implement Learnings: Document the experience, noting what worked, what didn’t, and any changes needed in your approach to mitigate future risks. Consider Compensation: If you manage client accounts, consider discussing compensation for any lost performance during the downtime, especially if it significantly impacted results.
