Have you met Cody Brewington? Through his work with the Missouri State University Public Safety Training Center, he has expanded our reach beyond businesses and entrepreneurs. The PSTC focuses primarily on providing continuing ed and skills training for law enforcement and peace keeping officers. But since he joined efactory, we've also identified opportunities for this type of expertise to intersect with needs of businesses... Curious? One is coming up May 14 -- Optimizing Workplace Safety through Threat Assessment Processes https://lnkd.in/gABdYhgU
Missouri State University Director of the Public Safety Training Center, Training Coordinator for the SBDC @ the eFactory
Had a great afternoon spent at the MISSOURI SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION Vendor Show representing the MSU Public Safety Training Center and Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) with Dr. Bill Sandel and former Camdenton Chief Laura Wright who now works for the training center. This all wouldn’t be possible without my team at the efactory! Huge thanks to PUBLIC SAFETY, MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF for the funding and the opportunity to bring ALERRT training throughout the State of Missouri!

We have all heard the phrase “knowledge is power”. As a Private Investigator, we obtain knowledge from years of law enforcement experience and years of investigation experience. Typically, when working with attorneys, we create a task list. But what if the attorney hands you a case and asks for help? Or the private client has not contracted an attorney yet. What better way to assist the client or attorney than thinking like an attorney. What will assist them? What questions would the attorney want answered? Since I cannot afford law school, what’s the next best avenue for obtaining legal knowledge? You attend the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers annual training conference and learn updated Kentucky Supreme Court rulings, case law and available tactics and resources. Train with attorneys to think like attorneys!!!

Embracing change, one small step at a time. At Cooper Elliott, we're pushing for substantial improvements in law enforcement training in Ohio and are steadfast in our commitment to ensure accountability and public safety. Through our recent lawsuit against the city of Columbus and Police Chief Elaine Bryant, we're addressing the urgent issue of excessive force used against people of color. We applaud the introduction of a new curriculum focusing on active shooter response, critical decision-making, crisis mitigation, de-escalation tactics, and more. There is much more to be done, and we're continuing to advocate for justice and comprehensive reform. Find out more about the progress being made: https://bit.ly/4cAPGqQ

Otherwise known as the “Stars and Stripes,” the “Star-Spangled Banner,” and “Old Glory,” the United States flag is celebrated today, June 14. Did you know that every color on the flag has a purpose and there’s one color that directly relates to the practice of law? Blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice. Lawyers everywhere have these attributes, enabling them to get through law school and to practice well. So this Flag Day, when we celebrate the American flag, we’re also thinking of the people who practice the profession of law. #FlagDay #LawyerLife #TexasBarPractice
