Achieving results like this at scale are good. If I were looking into this on a state-wide basis, I'd probably want to break this down by program, metro area and county and see where the program is successful and where those successes can be transferred. https://lnkd.in/ec745w7r

For me, what Simon Kuestenmacher outlines in this article is another reason why Australia should have a public housing developer, or reforms that enable private/public partnerships, which provide stability in the construction sector. The boom and bust cycles we experience do not encourage apprenticeship completion rates, innovation or education in STEM, especially for young men, who are well suited to use technology to innovate in the MMC space. https://lnkd.in/g5cw983S #ModernMethodsOfConstruction #AffordableHousing #TheStatsGuy

This equipment will support NAIT's apprenticeship programs in construction, machining, automotive, and transportation, ensuring that students are trained with the latest technology to meet industry demands. The announcement event was attended by several distinguished guests, including 🇨🇦Minister Randy Boissonnault, 🎓NAIT President and CEO, Laura Jo Gunter , 🏛Spruce Grove Mayor Jeff Acker , NAIT Board Directors, 👷♂️President and CEO of CAREERS: The Next Generation Andy Neigel ,🏗 Dean of the School of Construction and Building Science Matthew L. , and 🚚 Dean of Transportation, Manufacturing, and Automation Stephen McMillan. 👉As Minister Boissonnault emphasized, "A piece of machinery like this is not just for Alberta or Edmonton students. Today, the ESFA released a comprehensive set of guidance documents aimed at further education providers, which encompasses FE Colleges, Higher Education Institutions, Independent Training Providers, and Employer Providers. The documentation covers: - Expectations for providers selected for an ESFA Funding Assurance Review. - Detailed steps to assist providers in gathering evidence. - Necessary controls and procedures to prevent non-compliance with funding rules. These documents are highly recommended as they provide answers to many common questions regarding the funding assurance review process. RSM's approach to delivering funding mirrors the approach outlined in these documents and allows providers to gain a detailed understanding of their level of compliance with the relevant funding rules and the potential for funding clawback. If you want any further information, please do reach out. #ESFA #RSMUK #FurtherEducation #FundingAssurance

What a fantastic array of expert speakers today at the Westminster Higher Education Forum webinar on Next steps for degree apprenticeships. I really enjoyed chairing this mammoth session and found the discussion to be so informative, challenging and innovative - just as a great discussion should be! Some key takeaways: Parents and teachers play a significant role in guiding students' choices, so raising awareness about the benefits of apprenticeships can help dispel misconceptions and encourage more young people to consider this route. Similarly, employers need to be aware of the value that apprenticeships can bring to their businesses in terms of recruiting, developing talent and business growth. It is essential to continue challenging outdated stereotypes and to continue promoting #apprenticeships as prestigious and valuable opportunities for personal and professional development. Degree apprenticeships offer a viable option for non-traditional learners, including mature students, career changers, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. By offering a combination of academic study and practical training, apprenticeships equip learners with the skills needed to succeed in the workforce, irrespective of their starting point. Apprenticeships help to retain talent within regions, stimulate economic growth, and reduce disparities in access to education and employment opportunities between urban and rural areas. Additionally, apprenticeships create networks of support and collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, and community organisations, further enriching the social fabric of communities. My sincere thanks to all the speakers: > Rowan Fisher from Universities UK > Philippa Alway from UCAS > Lucy Hunte from NHS England > Amatey Doku from Moorhouse | B Corp Certified > Ashley Wheaton from University College of Estate Management > Raj Kakaiya from Brunel University London University > Dr Mandy Crawford-Lee FRSA from University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) > Kathryn Marshall MBE from Lloyds Banking Group > Kashif Taj from IBM > Louis Joseph Clark from University of East London > Tom Hadley from Youth Employment UK > Marc Rothera from Anglia Ruskin University > Anna Morrison CBE from Amazing Apprenticeships > Bethany Taylor from Eversheds Sutherland ⭐ - An amazing star Degree Apprenticeship champion ! The child care industry in Minnesota has a profound impact on families, communities and the overall economy. It supports working parents by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children while at work or pursuing educational opportunities. https://lnkd.in/eiCHEc76 OHE’s Dual Training Grant program partners with Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) to help employers meet their workforce needs by creating earn-and-learn programs for employees. Employers collaborate with training providers and contribute substantially to career advancement and development of their employees by providing them with on-the-job training and supporting their postsecondary education. Grant funds can be used to cover the cost of dual trainees' tuition, fees, and required materials for the related instruction training in program occupations. https://lnkd.in/eAUuTGF

Chief Development Officer | Nonprofit Consultant | Seeking to understand all things philanthropy ➡️ Founder of Next Gen Fundraising Network
3moThis is one reason why I was so excited to be part of the NC CC System. I also think there is so much untapped opportunity to work with businesses to create affordable scholarships that will market the business and support these 2/5 apprentices who don't complete their apprenticeships. It could be a literal pipeline for the company, and maybe even save them money depending on their marketing budget used to find qualified employees.
