Wade Anderson’s Post

Entrepreneurship is the modern day exploration. Years ago, I read about an Irish explorer named Earnest Shackleton. His captivating help wanted ad still resonates with me: Wanted: For hazardous journey, small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful, honor and recognition in case of success. I find this ad deeply inspiring. It doesn’t sugarcoat the realities ahead; it speaks to the courage and resilience required to embark on such a journey. Entrepreneurship, to me, mirrors the exploration of our time. It entails confronting daunting odds and navigating through uncertain outcomes, demanding bravery, perseverance, and emotional strength. Yet, amidst the risks, there lies the promise of "honor and recognition." (The book is Endurance. Can’t recommend it enough!)

I love that book. And I really like the analogy!
