Entrepreneurship is the modern day exploration. Years ago, I read about an Irish explorer named Earnest Shackleton. His captivating help wanted ad still resonates with me: Wanted: For hazardous journey, small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful, honor and recognition in case of success. I find this ad deeply inspiring. It doesn’t sugarcoat the realities ahead; it speaks to the courage and resilience required to embark on such a journey. Entrepreneurship, to me, mirrors the exploration of our time. It entails confronting daunting odds and navigating through uncertain outcomes, demanding bravery, perseverance, and emotional strength. Yet, amidst the risks, there lies the promise of "honor and recognition." (The book is Endurance. Can’t recommend it enough!)

Entrepreneurship is a journey filled with both highs and lows. Our own experiences teach us that building a business requires a tremendous amount of effort, time, and dedication. After spending nine months trying to build three different businesses, I have learned to recognize the importance of taking a break to rejuvenate, replenish, and think with clarity. I am grateful to spend some quality time with my two adult kids and take a few days off to do just that. Stay tuned for a relaunch of one of my businesses in the coming days! #entrepreneurmindset #smallbusinessowner #takingabreak

“I would scream from the mountaintops to recommend Business Simplified!” – James P. Working with James has been an absolute honor. Watching his growth over the past few months has been inspiring and fulfilling. James came to Business Simplified, seeking clarity and consistency in building his dream business. Through intentional effort, he’s made incredible strides. One of the key shifts James made was becoming intentional with his time and accountability. By committing to our weekly live calls, he stayed on track with his goals and found support and encouragement from a community of like-minded entrepreneurs. That sense of connection has been vital in his journey, and seeing him thrive has been amazing. James has uncovered hidden blocks like self-doubt and perfectionism through our work together and replaced them with self-worth, focus, and action. His transformation reminds me why I do what I do—it’s such a joy to walk alongside entrepreneurs as they grow, heal, and bring their dreams to life. Let’s connect if you’re overwhelmed by the details of starting or growing your business. https://bit.ly/3Vpk1T9 Together, we can simplify the process, create clarity, and build the life and business you envision.

Building a business that runs itself rarely happens on the first try. Most entrepreneurs learn the essential skills for creating a self-sustaining business by first building one that doesn’t run itself. Success comes from trial, error, and growth… not luck. The journey may not be easy, but it’s the lessons learned along the way that make true entrepreneurial freedom possible.

Stepping into the role of both a guide and a fellow traveler in the entrepreneurial landscape, I wrote THE PATH TO PROFITS to serve as more than just an instructional manual; it’s a testament to the belief that understanding profit in its true essence is akin to unlocking the very lifeblood of our business ventures. My encounters, both personal and observed, have taught me that the distinction between merely surviving and truly flourishing lies in the depth of our understanding and our relationship with profit. I’ve seen firsthand the transformation that takes place when entrepreneurs shift their perspective — from viewing profit as a mere endpoint to seeing it as a vital nutrient, continuously nourishing every facet of their business. Like Alex, sharing my insights and strategies through my writing, my goal is to illuminate the path for my fellow entrepreneurs, helping them to not only envision a future of success but to equip them with the knowledge and tools to make it a reality. For anyone standing at the precipice of their entrepreneurial journey, feeling both the exhilaration and the weight of potential that lies ahead, I extend my hand and my words. It’s my sincerest hope that through my book, I can help you breathe easier, ensuring that each step you take is supported by the robust, life-giving force of well-nourished profit. Together, we can turn the dreams of today into the triumphs of tomorrow.
