It’s original and pure #5G magical testing case👇 💡#5G #MU-#MIMO Trial ( 8 UE multi user pairing / 16 Layers ) 👉 Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) implements the #SDMA ( spatial multiplexing ) of time-frequency resources for multiple UEs in both uplink and downlink. When multiple UEs share the same time-frequency resources, the more orthogonal the channels between UEs, the smaller the interference and the higher the capacity and spectral efficiency in both uplink and downlink. 👉 UE pairing is a procedure of selecting multiple UEs for spatial multiplexing of time-frequency domains. If the #SRS SINRs of UEs meet the certain conditions and the channel correlation between UEs is low, interference between UEs can be effectively mitigated and UE pairing can be performed for MU-MIMO. 👉 In heavy-load scenarios, cell resources are limited and enabling MU-MIMO can increase the average user and cell data throughput. But in medium and light-load scenarios, cell resources are not limited and enabling MU-MIMO may lead to fluctuations in the average user and cell data throughput. ✨ In this trial 8 UEs are paired and scheduled in same time slot and same frequency domain. The maximum possible 16 MIMO streams (2x2 MIMO for each UE) has been achieved - 16 layers in each TTI. Each UE is served by different beam. Full PRB ( more than 250 ) is scheduled for each user and almost 4 Gbps total cell throughput is achieved. 🌎 The Bigger Picture: This trial wasn’t just about speed — it was about unlocking the true potential of #5G’s #spectral #efficiency. By maximizing the utilization of every Hz of spectrum, MU-MIMO redefines how networks serve dozens of users simultaneously.
