It's similar for Special Counsel and Managing Associates waiting for partnership. You either keep circling and are lucky enough to finally get a spot or you divert to another airport before you run out of fuel. Knowing when to divert to another airport which has so far not been on your radar is key. Do it while you still have enough fuel to land effectively somewhere of your choice and not as a last resort emergency landing somewhere you really don't want to be. Royal Caribbean’s recent shift to surge pricing marks a pivotal moment for cruise line pricing strategy: They are wrapping up tiered volume pricing and replacing a relatively fixed legacy pricing strategy with demand pricing and bundled offers.  This means there are likely to be minimal volume discounts; plus additional price premiums applied to bigger groups, bundled offers and when the boat gets full. This turnaround comes on the back of COVID after experiencing a sustained booking surge and positive price response after price trials. Salt Lake City International Airport is a haven for travelers who get stressed by delays, according to federal data, but how true that is varies by month. More than 83% of flights through the airport that gives people a gateway to Utah’s capital city and the “Greatest Snow on Earth” land and take off on time, based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). SLC held the best ranking for on-time arrivals and departures in 2022, but lost the top spot to Minneapolis-St. Paul for departures in 2023. Airport traffic increased in that same time frame by more than 2,600 passenger flights and 1.2 million passengers — about 511,000 boarding and 688,000 arriving — according to data the airport posts on its website. Bill Wyatt, the airport’s executive director, said the dip is so small, there isn’t much to glean from it. “It just is what it is,” he said. “It will go up and down.” #travel #airtravel #airports #flights #flightdelays By Megan Banta and Blake Apgar
