Today I would like to thank my mentor Gordon Hamilton, who always inspired me to think out the box and be creative in #DataAnalytics and #LeanVisualManagement. Lean Visual Management means a lot to me and I want to share this #DARTS #dashboard with my network today. If you ever need to present #data on a DARTS board. It could look like this on the picture below. The idea is that there is a target in the middle and the closer a #datapoint is to the target, the better. Then you can also create a #KPI that shows the percentage of your data points within your target area. In this case, you can see that 25% of all data points fall under 3 weeks green target area. This visual representation aims to get all data points closer in the centre in the green area. So that the DARTS KPI aims for 100% instead of current %25. Talk to me, if you want to learn more about this DARTS Visual Management model. Let’s play DARTS! ":-) #leanvisualmanagement #mentor #dataanalytics #kpis #dashboards #DARTSLEANVisualManagement

Before & After Slide Redesign The Power of Diagrams in Presentation Design Diagrams are a powerful tool in presentation design. They help break down complex information into easily digestible visuals, making it easier for your audience to understand and remember your key points. Here's an example of a slide redesign that demonstrates the power of thoughtful design and the strategic use of diagrams. Before: 👉 Overloaded with text, making it difficult to quickly grasp the main points. 👉 Lack of visual elements to guide the audience's attention. 👉 Plain design with minimal use of colors and visual hierarchy. After: 👉 Utilized diagrams to clearly and succinctly depict the message, making complex information more accessible. 👉 Effective use of visual hierarchy and colors to differentiate sections. Try using diagrams in your next presentation to see the difference it makes! "✨ If you can't measure it, you can't improve it." — Peter Drucker Building the capacity to monitor progress is essential for achieving meaningful results. When individuals and teams track their goals, they gain insight into what’s working, what’s not, and where adjustments are needed to stay on course. "Enhancing Capacity for Monitoring Progress" involves setting measurable benchmarks and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, helping everyone stay aligned and motivated. Supporting learners to access information that is timely, coherent, and actionable allows them to gauge and adjust their effort and actions. UDL might look like: - Providing progress indicators such as agendas, progress bars, and other signals to highlight progress through the learning event. - Providing guidelines and templates for learners to take and use for self-assessment. - Offering options for feedback types and channels. - Highlight progress through use of pre- and post- assessments, graphs, and charts showing progress over time.

Use the power of simple diagrams to explain concepts visually. Today I share an example of presenting a balanced scorecard. You can apply a similar visual storytelling approach to other frameworks with a structure of several shared categories, e.g. famous SWOT analysis. Notice how you can illustrate the joint effect of several perspectives, and how to drill down to each one, keeping visual consistency (using colors and symbols). This way it's easier for your audience to follow your presentation. What other concept should I explain visually? Peter Zvirinsky - Data Presentation Designer (Follow me for more tips. Happy Sunday connections. It's my DAY 45 OF #100DAYSOFAI though I have been behind the learning schedule. So, today I have been able to create a presentation, starting from an AI prompt. I learned how to create slides in seconds from a simple text prompt. Using AI in this way is great for those of you who are non-designers like me or who fret over style vs substance when producing presentations. In today's lesson I learned: The basics of Gamma, a powerful AI-powered tool for creating presentations How to use the Sandwich Method to create incredible output, quicker than ever before The specific skill of utilizing AI-generated designs and layouts to create visually compelling slide decks By the end of the lesson, I acquired the knowledge and skills to leverage AI-powered tools to create engaging presentations. For some of us who may want to ask what's Gamma? 🤔 Gamma is an AI tool that helps you make impressive presentations without coding or design skills. With Gamma, you can build a wide range of visually appealing presentations, including sales pitches, marketing materials, educational slides, and more. These tools provide a variety of templates, designs, and features to customize your presentations and make them engaging. One key concept to understand is the concept of "Blocks" in Gamma. Blocks are pre-built components that you can add to your slides, such as text boxes, images, charts, and icons. They act as building blocks that you can customize and arrange to create your desired slide layout. 🙌 Prepare to create So, for you Generate a presentation with Gamma. First, you'll need some text to generate your presentation. Think of a topic or a pitch you want to create slides for. In my case, I used: CRIMINAL REPOSITORY. Open Gamma and click on "+ Create new AI" to start a new project. Choose the “Generate” option and then “Presentation”. In the text prompt, provide a clear and concise description of what you want your presentation to be about. You can use the PREP framework to construct your prompt (but remember you don’t need to define the role as that’s assumed already). Click “Generate Outline”. Review and reorder your presentation outline Choose a theme for your presentation and click “Generate” Gamma will generate an outline and offer slide designs based on your text prompt. Review the outline and make any necessary edits or additions to refine your presentation, before clicking “Continue” Review the generated slides and make any necessary edits or additions to refine your presentation. Consider the flow and structure of your presentation, ensuring a logical progression of ideas. Customize the design, layout, and formatting of the slides to match your preferences and branding. Here's what I came up with to share with the #100DaysofAI Community: https://lnkd.in/daFtZKyf See you tomorrow!

Happy New Year 2025! As we step into a brand-new year, it feels like the perfect moment to embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead. Much like the bold and unique structure in the photo, may we all build strong foundations, reach inspiring heights, and design futures that excite. I’m excited to reflect on the journey so far and the road ahead. For the past six years, I’ve been empowering others through presentation design and data storytelling. This year, I’m ready to take it further focusing on... ✅ Enhancing Content: Real-world case studies and actionable insights to ensure every session bridges the gap between theory and practice. ✅ Expanding Horizons: Advanced modules on visual persuasion, dynamic and interactive slide design techniques, as well as AI for presentation designs. ✅ Embracing Technology: Developing an AI Assistant to simplify presentation design and data storytelling. I’m also thrilled to announce my second book on Data Storytelling is on the way! It builds on the success of my first book, StickySLIDES, and dives deeper into crafting powerful stories from data. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! 🎉 Wishing you and your loved ones a year filled with joy, success, and limitless possibilities. #HappyNewYear #PresentationDesign #DataStorytelling #StickySLIDES
