TRULY ALARMING! Three companies own more than 19,000 single-family homes in the Altanta Metro Area, which has allowed these companies to gain control over the housing stock. These corporate landlords intentionally purchased homes in specific areas to make it harder for individuals to purchase a home by driving up the value and driving up rents to price people out and away from the neighborhoods. This "anti-American Dream" of corporatization of single-family homes is spreading throughout the country. I am all for capitalism but this different. I hope Chicago and Illinois create policies that will limit the amount of corporate ownership of single-family homes and preserve the American Dream for the working-and-middle-class to build up their wealth. I implore our local and state political leaders to prioritize single-family development and homeownership initiatives, such as Reclaiming Chicago by United Power to build 2,000 homes on Chicago's south and west sides, Far South Community Development Corporation Bringing Communities Back Initiative to build and renovate 100 single-family homes on Chicago's far south side, and Habitat for Humanity Chicago Affordable Homeownership Program. I understand that we must be able to "walk and chew gum at the same time" as we contemplate fulfilling the dreams of subsidizing billion dollar franchises with taxpayers' funds for stadiums, but we must develop and implement an aggressive program to advance and preserve single-family homeownership, which is the bedrock of our society and economy. Many chatbots🤖 are powered by LLMs. Ask a chatbot a question, the chatbot digs into it’s LLM stored language data to provide you with an answer. NUGGET💥: A chatbot is only as good as the data contained in its LLM. So…garbage in, garbage out.
