Mr. Hock Tan is clearly not listening to customers because the licensing simplification is only aimed at maximizing profits for Broadcom. He's pushing many of the small and medium customers who don't have a need for many of the features included in VVF and VCF to pay multiple times their current investment in VMware products. As a customer who uses vSphere Enterprise Plus, it would cost my company 4x more for VVF. We don't use vSAN or have any need for Kubernetes container support. All we need is vSphere Standard but Broadcom decided to remove the Distributed Switch from this edition to make it painful for its customers and force them to upgrade to VVF for a price that's about 4x higher. This move is a simple money grab and it's pulling the rug from under the existing customers to the point that many of us are starting to look at alternatives. So good luck to you Mr. Tan especially with the European Union anti trust commission and hope that a similar action will take place in the US soon. https://lnkd.in/eBjnucCX
