The Health and Safety Executive have updated their guidance on demolition and structural stability during alteration, demolition and dismantling with contributions from the NFDC and our members. The updates include a focus on the dangers of relying on scaffolds to contain a collapse, citing examples of urban demolition projects which unexpectedly collapsed into roads as a reminder of need for proper, thorough project planning.
