Spiritual Tourism is at rise, soon there is going to be huge rise in the Spiritual Experiences as a segment. Looking forward to catch this growth in the spiritual sector. One of the key areas of ONTE protocol is towards standardising and operationalising these experiences around various locations. One of the visions behind starting to work on the protocol was always "Building more Localised Tourism Economies." We are already working on defining protocol, policies, etc. as well as working with multiple players on putting things on the ground, educating homestays, guides, users, etc. for better digitisation, growth, and standardisation. #Uttarakhand has always been known as the adobe of gods & goddesses. Its temples are visited by people from India as well as abroad to take blessings of the almighty. Garhwal region is famous for the same with many temples like #Kedarnath, #Badrinath, #Neelkanth, #Surkanda Devi, #Chandrabadni, Chandi Devi, Mansa Devi, etc. All these temples are present in well developed areas that have good #infrastructure, #connectivity & other #facilities. #Kumaon region too has many renown temples but unfortunately, previous #governments neglected this region’s development for unknown reasons. But I have decided to develop Kumaon region & boost its tourism & hospitality #sector which has the potential to provide #employment to thousands of people. For this, my #government has started the #ManaskhandMandirMalaMission under the guidance of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, who has a special attachment with #Uttarakhand. This is visible through his visits to the state whenever he is free. Under this mission, we will develop a total of 48 religious temples in a phased manner. In Phase 1, we will develop 16 temples of Kumaon region. These include #Jageshwar Mahadev in #Almora, Chitai Golu devta, #Suryadev in #Katarmal, #KasarDevi, Nanda Devi, Patal Bhuvaneshwar in #Pithoragarh, Haat Kalika, #Bagnath in #Bageshwar, #Baijnath, Patal #Rudreshwar in #Champawat, Maa Purnagiri, Maa Barahi Devi, Baleshwar, Naina Devi in Nainital, Kainchi dham & Chaiti dham in #Udham Singh Nagar. Varahi devi #temple in Devidhura will also be developed. It will be ensured that all these temples are well connected through rail, road & trolley.

6moKumaon region is very beautiful, none of the places are exploited except Nanital. My major concern is once it will be marketed, it will attract huge number of tourist. Promotion of any kind of tourism without keeping in mind sustainability of the place and people will disrupt it like Dehradun and Rishikesh. Sustainable tourism should be priority and proper policies must be in place.
