Hello everyone, a first-time poster here! Just realized how "Embracing the role of a feedback champion is key to navigating the corporate landscape." As an HR trainee, I obviously knew my communication skills were important, but little did I know, they gonna make such a significant impact. But, man, did they! I actually have had this not-so-good habit of speaking so fast, I was literally like one of those people who have naturally pressured speech, and i got so used to it that people had trouble following my conversation. Lately, this habit of mine earned me a ton of feedbacks- and I mean a ton! Here's the thing, around a few days ago, I messed up a client's mandate, without realizing and thinking anything else, I thought it was because of my fast speech thing. Just like any other trainee, i got afraid and didn't know what to do. However, thanks to open and honest feedback from my senior, I realized where I was lacking and since then, I have been working on my skills and learning to balance my speed with precision and empathy. Cut to, the thing that I want to share is: be open to feedback, whether it comes from your seniors or your clients. Embrace it, learn from it, and use it to become a better version of yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for feedback and don't be defensive when you receive it. Instead, be grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow. Let's create a culture where we learn from each other and where feedback is valued and embraced! #growthmindset #learning #feedback

New Joinee induction practices suitable for small and nimble organizations. I have been experimenting on the better ways to induct a new joinees in our organization. Sharing some practices which have yielded good results in our small and nimble organization. Day one experience is key to a new employee whether he is a fresher from college or a lateral hire at a senior position. In our organization, after the brief induction formalities are done by HR, a Sr Management member greets the new joinee and walks through the organization level business domains and the importance of the specific project the new joinee is allocated. This short meeting is following by a lunch with the new joinee. The meeting by a Sr person automatically provides the right importance to the new joinee and adds an element of a human touch that can make one feel secure and inspired. On day one, not only the project is allocated but a mentor/buddy is allocated to support the new joinee and help navigate through the project and its vagaries. It is often said that any one getting into a new organization or a new role within the same organization has 90 days to settle down and prove his credibility. These 90 days are key and this is where goal setting using OKR or similar mechanism comes in. Having the end in mind always helps set the right direction. I have found that setting the goals (even if for a short period of 2-3 months) within the first week itself sets not only the right direction but also gives the necessary impetus to progress with good momentum. The mentor/mentee can support the new joinee to understand the goals well and spend at least two 30-minute sessions every week. This semi-formal conversation can help the new joinee, especially align seamlessly with the team and its culture. Finally, being a smaller organization the same Sr person who met the new joinee on day one has a brief conversation on a weekly basis with him (For about 1-2 months) to make sure things are flowing in the right way. Though the above simple yet powerful practices are often known to most people, they are not implemented with energy and passions. Finally, execution makes all the difference. One size does not fit all. Each organization needs to make its own adaptations to the process of successfully inducting new joinees based on its culture and performance orientation. #induction #Practices #HR #NewJoinees #Mentor

PROVIDING LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STAFF - A CHANCE TO ELEVATE YOUR BUSINESS It is not by chance that multinational corporations always have Management Trainee programs. The larger the company, the more systematic they are in training and developing their personnel, especially at the management level. This is because: - Skilled managers boost departmental work efficiency. - Skilled managers earn the respect of employees. - Skilled managers can train average employees to become excellent. - Good management helps retain talented staff. ⁉️ So, for small and medium-sized enterprises that lack the scale, how can they elevate the capabilities of their management team? We are proud to be a comprehensive digital transformation platform designed to optimize costs and increase work efficiency. Our goal is to become the solution that helps businesses thrive by enhancing the capabilities and efficiency of their workforce. We Work - On The Job Traning 😊

📌One of hands on approaches that used in teaching the skills, knowledge, and competencies that employees need to perform a specific job within the organization in a fastest way is known " on job training" 🔎It enables employees learn while they are doing the job, making it easier for them to adapt to the organization's specific processes, tools, and culture under the guidance of more experienced coworker 🔎It also allows employees to gain practical experience and develop skills in a real world setting and contribute to the productivity from day one, so it's an effective and efficient approach for implementing socialization in a company 🔎There are 5 types of OJT approach ➡️Job instruction training, where experienced employee shows the trainee how to perform a task and then supervises them while they practice it ➡️Coaching, where more experienced employee provides ongoing guidance, feedback, and support as the trainee develops their skills over time ➡️Mentoring, where senior employee, provides advice, shares experiences, and offers support to help the trainee grow within the organization ➡️Job rotation, where different jobs and tasks are rotated between employees to gain a broader understanding of the organization and develop a diverse skill set ➡️Shadowing, through observing an experienced employee performing their job to learn before trying it actually 🔎Advantages of OJT can be summarized as follows ➡️Cost effective, requires less investment in formal training programs ➡️Immediate application, where employees can immediately apply what they learned to their job ➡️Customized Learning, where training is tailored to the specific needs of the job ➡️Engagement and retention, where employees feel more engaged when they receive practical training 🔎Disadvantages of OJT can be summarized as follows ➡️Inconsistent training quality, where the effectiveness of OJT can vary depending on the trainer’s skills and approach ➡️Disruption of work, If it isn't managed well, OJT can disrupt regular work processes, especially if the trainee makes mistakes or requires significant supervision ➡️Limited scope, where OJT may not cover all theoretical knowledge or soft skills needed for the job, which will require additional training 💡Conclusion OJT is an important component of employee development, providing practical, real time learning that helps employees quickly adapt to their roles, leading to improve job performance, higher employee satisfaction, and better overall organizational efficiency ⭐For more about organizational culture please check the comments #peoplemanagement #teammanagement #socializationmanagement #organizationalculture #supplychainstability #internalenvironmentmanagement
