Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) by Diego Dominguez Solis This work addresses the use of information technologies within innovation ecosystems, as well as their main characteristics and examples of the latter. The factors needed for this model to be successful are presented and a proposal for how it could be implemented in Mexico is presented. The most important characteristic of innovation is that it positively impacts society and allows technological and social development, since it helps solve problems worldwide, thus helping to preserve common well-being (Mora-Ramírez and Chacón, 2016).

GDL Connect is proud to call the economic-tech center of #guadalajara , Mexico, home to our nearshoring headquarters! This talent-rich city is the perfect place for us to offer support for our clients. But how did Guadalajara become the robust tech, economic, and business hub that it is today? → 1960s-1980s: Laying the Manufacturing Foundations Tech giants such as Kodak, Motorola, IBM, HP, and Siemens first established manufacturing operations in Guadalajara. This marked the beginning of a burgeoning tech cluster with a focus on #semiconductors, printers, and photo equipment. → 1990s: Empowering Local Leadership A shift in management brought Mexican leadership into the #tech and #manufacturing space. Collaborations with universities expanded tech-related courses, nurturing a pool of skilled local talent, while companies prioritized local engineers and designers for their projects. → Early 2000s: Navigating China When #China entered into the World Trade Organization, the potential migration of jobs to Asia due to lower tariffs and wages posed a threat to Guadalajara's young tech and business-focused industry. → Mid-2000s: Reinvention and Resilience GDL reinvented itself as a center for #researchanddevelopment, programming, and design, embracing its manufacturing foundation. The city continued to promote its high-skilled tech jobs, eventually catching the attention of tech entrepreneurs keen on leaving Silicon Valley after the financial crisis of 2008. → Present: Global Tech Hub and Nearshoring Nexus Guadalajara's strategic position, coupled with its fully-formed, talented workforce, positions it as a true economic center. We have maintained operations in Guadalajara for more than five years, and we're committed to this city for the next five! The country boasts a large pool of specialized engineers, which has been instrumental in the rise of tech hubs in cities like Monterrey, Tijuana, Juarez, and Guadalajara. If you are working on "innovation" somehow in Japan or with Japan, this is a stimulating opportunity to attend in Osaka, this December. https://lnkd.in/gY59z6iQ This conference is not fully for academic people. Rather, this is where professionals working on innovation somewhere somehow get mingled with their peers in the world, exchanging their experience and opinions. In short, it will be a vivid and dynamic opportunity for those who are active with a keyword of "innovation". So, if you have some interesting innovation-related cases to show off to the world, or, have some issues to share and discuss with your peers from other countries, their submission window is still open. Let me repeat: the submission topic can be any practical cases from your work, and the most important point is "interacting professionally with your peers of innovation"! In addition, now the conference itself shows good interests in Japan, and it looks they are strengthening the network in Japan not only in Osaka but also in other areas in Japan. So if you want to get involved their activity, or, to use their networking in your innovation work from now on, I believe this is a good timing to start it

In March 2024, Hosted by the #TokyoMetropolitanGovernment, the "International Conference on Advanced Digital Case Studies" was organised. I had the opportunity to be invited by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Deloitte to give a lecture; A case from a Digitally advanced nation. The lecture was attended by approximately 100 representatives from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and various municipalities. In my talk, I introduced initiatives to promote the use of #DigitalPost in Denmark and showcased cases from the Nordic region. I believe that the content provided was highly meaningful to participants, including officials from both the metropolitan and municipal levels. In particular, amidst the current trend where both the metropolitan and municipal governments are often pressured to seek short-term results and may become myopic in their digitalization strategies, I emphasized the importance of adopting a long-term perspective in our digitalisation endeavours. While recognizing the differences in socio-cultural backgrounds between Japan and the Nordic countries, I believe that different approaches to digitalization are warranted. Nonetheless, I earnestly hope for the advancement of meaningful digital services, such as high-utilization Danish Digital Post, for both citizens and administrative staff. 海外デジタル先進事例共有会~海外はすごい!で終わらせず実務に活かそう!~アーカイブ配信.
