$600M story and reflection on AI ROI: Past life: After a decade of delivery roles, I was given a mission by sr. leadership to lead entire hybrid cloud solutioning with new standard offerings for large complex deals across all European markets. Onus was on me left, right and center in all executive governances. I literally started from $0 infusion and took it to $600M signings (my scope) through the leadership at the intersection of technology and business. Positioned Europe the global winner in this mission. Resulted into me being in Bahamas as Best of IBM and a next level of promotion - was fine with that (pun intended). Sure, success had many fathers/mothers. Teamwork was brilliant. Team was large and diversified. There was a sense of achievement in everyone. My ROI formula was simple: New investment + Right offerings + Right skills + Right model + New business + Solid governance = Return on investment (ROI). To make every variable work to produce effect, I was orchestrating every variable as, when and where needed across the organization. There was no subtraction (-) in the ROI formula and it delivered just that: ROI. Reflecting on AI. It needs the same formula to win for enterprises. Sure, it needs a lot of work. AI needs ROI and ROI is always positive with the right ecosystem. Signing off for the weekend!!
