Living in the 21st-century, having access to the Internet is such an amazing thing that allows you to be mentored by some of the greatest minds in the world, by following their social media or their YouTube, paying to be part of their peer groups, attending mastermind sessions virtually, there are so many ways. Take this advice from a favorite world busisness leader of mine Ray Dalio and commit to observe, adapt, and overcome in your business! Know where you usually fail and find a way to get around it. For example, my largest weakness has always been follow up, so I have surrounding myself with a team that has impeccable follow up skills. Know the limits of your knowledge and the limits of your skills so you can stack the deck with those who compliment you!

Simple, straightforward advice on how to reach your goals. There is a ton to unpack and work to be done at each of the steps, but at a high-level this is great advice.

It really is that simple. 5 Steps… that’s all. We can apply this to *any* challenge we face, whether it be business, financial, family, etc. Half will overlook these. 1 thing you should learn from the man who is worth 15.4 billion dollars. This is his 5-step success process. As a self-proclaimed nerd, I love frameworks. I believe in the 1-2 punch of setting your goals and planning to get after them. I overemphasize action. And in my usual haste to act, I often miss a few crucial steps that Ray Dalio has helped me understand. The biggest one is to project your potential obstacles and diagnose their root cause. Example: If revenue is the goal, then the natural tendency is to focus on improving sales. However, a deeper dive might uncover that your company does poorly at cross-selling additional products to existing clients. The customer acquisition cost is much lower for an existing client, and you might even have better margins. Ray Dalio’s simple yet effective framework adds an extra layer that has helped me slow down and think more tactically. It’s worth a watch. A deeper diagnosis may reveal that choosing a wider pool of data vendors (providing optimal data coverage) and data quality is arguably more important. Inferior data and lack of coverage will cost your business a lot more.
