Everyone at BBF loves rugby. As a business, we get the importance of teamwork, and on a personal level, we know what it means to be part of a herd. The Bristol Bisons RFC are trailblazing inclusivity in rugby and showcasing that everyone has a space and place on and off the pitch. Their energy, enthusiasm and voice for access to sport without prejudice is incredible. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that they are clearly acing the game and always bring the energy to an event! That's why we jumped at the chance to support them with £8,000 towards their training costs over two years. BFF is donating £100k over the next year to help raise up Bristol communities. For the best part, we gift cost-price beer and help our community sell this to generate 3-5 times its value. But we know that beer is not always appropriate and sometimes, groups need hard cash, in real time, to achieve their ambitions. That's why we choose 3 or 4 groups each year and support them with a cash donation; one of them is the Bristol Bisons. Want to find out if the Bisons are your herd? Join them for a trial session on Monday 1st July as part of the Bristol Pride fortnight. Sign up via bisonsrfc.co.uk or if you've missed this window, check them out on socials: instagram.com/bisonsrfc and facebook.com/bisonsrfc Don't forget, every BBF beer you buy gives back to projects and communities like the Bristol Bisons. And as they say themselves, we are #StrongerAsAHerd DRINK WITH PURPOSE #BristolBeerFactory #brewedtogive #standindependent #drinkwithpurpose #bristolcharity #bristol

Something tells us that after yesterday's 13th Annual JLL Real Estate Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament (congrats to the winners!) and a demanding morning, your minds are already on the weekend 😎 And we don't blame you!—we were there too! That's why we recommend checking out more books from our library. This time, our CEO, Tom—one of the biggest bookaholics on our team—shares his picks 🔥. On the list https://lnkd.in/drXSmcWU , you'll find: 📖 one book he’s read 3 or more times, 📖 one book he’s read twice, 📖 one book he’s read once, 📖 and one book he likes to jump across. Because more is better, right? In the photo: the library at the Grupa Pracuj office (source: press materials). Nice, isn't it? 🙃 If you have a book nook set up at your place, share a photo in the comments.

It's National Volunteers Week so here's a little story for you.... One of my voluntary roles is the dream job of being Team Manager for my youngest son's rugby team (Pentyrch RFC Under 8s - soon to be Under 9s) One of our coaches got some great raffle prizes for us (a kicking session with Jonny Wilkinson) to raise money for our first tour next year.... I knew Raffall was an online raffle platform as I'd bought tickets on there previously, so I started setting up the raffle but wasn't enjoying the experience, it was a bit clunky... I google'd something like 'Raffall alternatives' and came across Raffaly - a new alternative with ✅ cheaper fees (great for charities where every penny counts!) ✅ guest checkout (making it much easier to buy raffle tickets - higher conversion and sales) Unfortunately I hit some stumbling blocks and page errors. I was on a hard deadline to get the raffle live as I was going on holiday the next day, so I put it live on Raffall but I emailed my bugs and feedback to Raffaly. The founder Liam Walder emailed me back the next day, he'd fixed all the bugs I'd found and thanked me for letting him know.... So, in summary: 1 - You might not have the desire, or time, to volunteer.... 2 - But you can still do good by helping new/small businesses grow by giving them free feedback on your experience and/or sharing them with others - Kindness helps the world go round! 3 - if you'd like to buy raffle tickets to support our team I'd be super grateful (link in original post that I've shared!) #VolunteersWeek #NationalVolunteersWeek #Raffle #RugbyIsLife #RugbyFamily ________________________________________________________________ I'm Heledd and I offer: 🤩 Fractional and Interim Marketing Leadership and Support 🤩 Marketing auditing and consultancy, especially on the Digital Marketing Side 🤩 Training, coaching and mentoring
https://lnkd.in/eJejXY2a We are raising funds for Pentyrch (soon to be) U9s and their first rugby tour this year. As a proud coach of this fabulous bunch of kids, I would like to thank Attivo and Stephen Harper for the support with our fund raising and the generous donations of raffle prizes. If anyone can spare £2.50 for a ticket, us coaches can give all the rugby mums and dads in Pentyrch a night off while we take the guys and girls on tour!

Youth sports, especially high school sports, allow a platform for young adults to learn some valuable life lessons. How to contend with adversity, learn leadership skills, conflict resolution, the value of hard work, being fruitful in your role(whatever that is), team building, rising from failure and handling success. It’s the main reason I enjoy coaching so much within a sport I played and love. Any funds raised from this silent auction will help these kids in that endeavor. To not only be better players, but better people. #RangerPride https://lnkd.in/gy_6RZ7w

It might just seem like a little sticker, but it's incredible to see a sporting figure like Nathan Lyon using his 🏏 profile to promote diversity and inclusion to a global audience. Typically inclusion is generated from the ground up, with tireless efforts from those who are excluded. When leaders, celebrities and role models jump in to promote messages and demonstrate inclusive behaviours, they can have an enormous impact. If you're a leader or person with influence, have a think about what you can do in 2025 to generate engagement in D&I movements. Even something as small as a sticker can help create change.
A sport for all ❤️ You might have seen Nathan Lyon sporting a unique sticker on his bat over the last two Tests. This sticker reads ‘A Sport for All’ - both in English and in braille. The initiative is part of Nathan's ongoing commitment to CA's pathways for cricketers with a disability, encouraging the 21% of Australians that live with a disability to love and play cricket. Nathan has also donated three of these bats signed by members of the Australian and Indian teams to Taverner's Australia, who will auction them off in a fundraiser to support the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (19-24 January 2025, Marchant Park, Brisbane).

Our Executive Director of Canada SCORES Toronto Nick Taylor (He/Him) shares his thoughts on this recent interview led by Steve Paikin on his show The Agenda. Initially Nick was drawn in due to the topic, and ultimately kept watching due to the high value content being discussed by three folks in the business, sport and cause communities that Nick has met and respects for their contributions - Marco Di Buono , Bruce Kidd and Dan Cardoza. As a nonprofit organization in the youth development space, Canada SCORES Toronto launched in the GTA in 2024, but has 30 years of history behind it across North America through America SCORES and 10 years under the Canada SCORES banner in Vancouver. The organization was initially founded througha 1994 FIFA World Cup Legacy Program Fund. Canada SCORES is one of the emerging community programs that Marco mentions towards the end of the panel discussion that delivers programs for FREE. In fact, we deliver our FREE after school programs in partnership with local schools, where according to Bruce, his friends at the Toronto District School Board TDSB say they are no longer able to deliver the comprehensive curriculum for phyisical activity within their schools. Given that current statistics sugest that 58% of parents say financial constraints are limiting their ability to keep kids in activities, programs such as Canada SCORES can fill a vital gap in our schools and communities to ensure an includive, safe, fun and "whole child" focus curriculum and programs are available to support the well being and social emotional development of children and youth. We should pay attention to Bruce's words when he sugests Gordie Howe would never make the NHL today as he would not fit into the "class" system that exists around the current professionalized youth sport sector. How many children may never realize their dreams of playing and competing in sport because of financial barriers to entry? We should also note what Marco shared when he said that an investment of only $1.00 can result in $13.00 of savings in the form of reduced health care costs to the system and a recution in youth justice expenses. Can you think of a better way to invest a dollar? If you can, consider making a gift to Canada SCORES. You can support the impact of our work that has been building for 10 years in Vancouver, and is about to launch this Fall in the Greater Toronto Area. https://lnkd.in/eWBrp_V At Canada SCORES, we believe we can be part of the solution to the problems called out by these three sector leaders. We welcome interested folks to reach out to our Execeutive team leaders in Toronto and Vancouver with any questions you may have about how you can make an impact in the lives of vulnerable children and youth. #CanadaSCORES #CanadaSCORESTO #CanadaSCORESVan #AmericaSCORES #YouthDevelopment #SocialEmotionalLearning #Sport #Recreation #BarrierFreeSport #JumpStart #YMCA #Donate #Support #Soccer #Poetry #Community
Last night, Marco Di Buono (President, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities) joined The Agenda with Steve Paikin on TVO to discuss how affordability barriers are impacting kids' access to sport. Joined by Dan Cardoza (YMCA of Greater Toronto) and celebrated Olympian & academic Bruce Kidd, the panel discussed the importance of building an inclusive, accessible and safe environment for all kids and the opportunities available to make lasting and meaningful change across Canada.
