Companies worldwide are slimming down their offices—by 10%, 20%, even 40%. Hybrid work has flipped the script, and with less time in the office, why pay for space you don’t fully use? It’s all about flexibility—and, of course, savings. 💰 What else do we know about this trend? 📉 50% of major companies plan to reduce their office space by at least 10%. 📅 Short-term leases are trending—companies are dropping long contracts in favor of more flexible co-working options. 📊 Space utilization data is gold. Companies like Deloitte use occupancy sensors to make smarter space decisions. And talking about smarter space utilization, we can't help but mention one of the best features of the Dibsido app – the analytics mode. 🫶 With this feature, you can measure how much space you’re using, and how much you actually need.

"Rather than relying on general observations, experience, or assumptions about how space should be used, facility and office managers are now armed with insights into the gap between bookings and actual usage. This helps them make informed changes, reallocate resources, and adjust layouts to prevent issues like overcrowding or underutilisation." Kieron Murphy Our latest blog article highlights how data from resource booking software and or occupancy sensors is being used to forecast future workplace needs. These tools are also being used across the private sector to provide insights prior to an office redesign. Oktra estimate a typical office fit out cost to be between £111-£208 per sq ft. Before making this investment companies are turning to data to tell them what spaces are and aren't being used in the office to help plan future requirements. #officerefurb #officedesign #data

Unlocking Location Intelligence to Tackle Workplace Challenges 📡 Imagine spaces like cafes or co-working zones revealing not just foot traffic, but also insights into roles, groups, and activities. High-accuracy location data is the key to solving critical issues in modern workplaces, where space and resource optimization are essential for operational success. Here's why high-accuracy data matters: Boosted Collaboration: Accurate data enables employees to connect with the right resources, reducing delays and fostering collaboration. This can eliminate pain points caused by lack of visibility into expertise and availability within workspaces. Space Optimization: With real-time data, businesses can adjust layouts to cut wasted space and reduce energy costs, solving inefficiencies that drive up operational expenses. Data-Driven Decisions: With a clear view of space usage, organizations can make informed choices about resource allocation, addressing problems of overuse or underuse of facilities. Safety and Security: Real-time monitoring improves emergency responses and overall safety, crucial in high-traffic areas. Unlike low-accuracy location solutions, high-accuracy data reveals detailed context—who’s in the space, what they’re doing, and how the space supports (or hinders) productivity. Embracing this data now can transform how we use physical spaces. What are your thoughts on this evolving approach to space intelligence? Please share. #LocationIntelligence #FutureOfWork #OperationalEfficiency #organizationbehavior #wifi #bigdataanalytics InnerSpace Andrew Millar Joe Draganic Brennan Stang Henry Schuck
