🌟 Halfway Point Reflections: Lessons from Week 4 🌟 As I find myself in the final week of my ALX Virtual Assistant training, I can’t help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. One of the most impactful moments was reaching Week 4, the halfway mark—a perfect time to pause, reflect, and reset. 🚀 Week 4 was packed with insights, challenges, and growth opportunities that encouraged me to really check in on myself: ✨ 3 things I’ve done well: 1. Embracing a growth mindset, even when the tasks were challenging. 2. Consistently managing my time and staying organized with each week’s packed content. 3. Actively engaging with my squad members to share knowledge and support each other. 🔄 Areas for improvement: As I look back, I realized that I could have been more proactive in reaching out for help when I felt stuck. Moving forward, I’ve learned the value of asking for support and leaning on my community. It’s never a sign of weakness—rather, it’s a sign of growth and collaboration. 💡 Now, as I approach the end of this intensive program, I feel more prepared than ever to take on new challenges in the professional world. The skills I’ve gained, combined with a newfound appreciation for continuous self-reflection, have set me on a path of lifelong learning. I’m excited for what’s ahead and am eager to connect with like-minded professionals who are also passionate about growth, productivity, and making an impact. It's time for our special New Year’s section 🎄 The next part will only come out in a year, so don’t miss it 😉 The last working day of the year (yes, yes, some are working even on Saturday—sending you warm vibes and tangerines) is flying by amidst the New Year’s hustle: some are finishing up their Unit tests with one foot out the door, while others have already launched their releases and are celebrating with colleagues over Zoom. As we look forward to the holidays and new beginnings, we want to wish you a Happy New Year and simply say thank you for this amazing and unforgettable 2024. This year has been full of activities and challenges. We’re proud of our successes and even our failures, because those are the best learning opportunities. So, we’re sharing a little advent calendar of events from the past year. Let’s dive in! 🎬 Here we go—we launched a whopping 21 new projects. All of this is the result of our drive for innovation and teamwork, where technology, bold ideas, and passion for what we do come together. 👨💻 We welcomed 63 talented professionals to our team, and we’re proud of every one of them—you guys are amazing! Plus, 9 interns joined the crew. They are our future, and we’re thrilled to be part of their professional journey. 🪩 This year, over 1200 participants joined our offline and online conferences. Here’s a fun report: at Evrone Fest, we drank more than 75 liters of cocktails, devoured 150 hot dogs, and enjoyed 200 servings of fries! Challenge sessions have become a bit of a tradition, where our team not only shares knowledge but brainstorms new ideas and exchanges experiences. 📚 And in our free time? We read books, played D&D, and gathered as a cozy community. Because at Evrone, we’re all a bit “chill guys.” The new year is ahead—with new projects, challenges, and opportunities. We believe that together with you, our clients and partners, we can achieve even more. May the coming year bring you lots of joy, inspiration, and success. Happy New Year 🎉

This year we closed our office for 2024’s Summer team event, branded the Summer Soirée! Kas Latif, Nik Nagarkar and myself arranged a surprise day out where the team were given a “call sheet” with general instructions for wardrobe/timings etc, but no detail on what they’d be doing. Somehow we did manage to keep the secret despite being interrogated by them to find out what it was 😂 What an amazing day it was, full of fun and competitive games, sports day, archery combat, axe throwing and buggy driving and of course a fancy dinner, and a few Margs! It really is important for us to get together and bond as a team outside of the usual environment, especially as we have some new team members and it was really great to see everyone come together through team building activities and see what a competitive bunch we really are! When Nik and I started our journey with EY3 Media, we knew the key part of how we could build something really special would be the people. We’d both worked in jobs we HATED, felt undervalued, unappreciated and where you’d be clock watching waiting for the day to be over, only for it to start all over the next day! This was key for us in our vision for the company, we wanted a place where people enjoyed coming to work, somewhere people could thrive and feel acknowledged. We spend so much of our lives at work, that time should be more than watching the clock waiting for it to be over. Of course some days will be stressful, deadlines to be met, and when you set yourselves goals to deliver and always be ahead of the curve it can be hard. But when you have an extraordinary team that always supports each other that’s where the magic happens. My team genuinely matters to me, seeing them grow, progress and achieve their goals is just amazing to see. I love to know what their vision is for their future not just in their career but in their personal lives, and how we as a business can support them with this vision. EY3 works because of a group of incredible people, all from different places, backgrounds and worlds and somehow we came together and it just works. Finding the right people is key to our success and ability to really deliver for our clients. Day 2 of a 49 day challenge As a virtual assistant trainee at ALX one of the biggest challenges I encountered was managing time zones effectively. Whether coordinating with clients across the globe or juggling tasks for multiple time zones, it's a skill that requires precision and flexibility. Key challenge I faced and how I overcomed them: Scheduling Confusion: With clients in different time zones, double-checking meeting times and deadlines is crucial. I've learned to use tools like Google Calendar and World Time Buddy to avoid errors and ensure everyone’s on the same page.
