Vera Institute of Justice’s Post

Our climate is changing, and everyone is feeling it—including people who are incarcerated. In the winter, freezing temperatures inside U.S. prisons, jails, and detention facilities make life unbearable for the people living in them. Extreme temperatures can exacerbate existing heath threats and can even create new ones. Forcing people behind bars to endure hellish conditions does not advance justice. It’s time to put an end to this mistreatment and prioritize solutions that create a fairer and more equitable world for everyone. https://lnkd.in/gibvGJkD

…nobody should care about prisoners…maybe if those prisoners stopped choosing to be habitual recidivist felons…they wouldn’t be in prison..:prison shouldn’t be comfortable or humane…goal is punish prisoners and not bring them comfort and care…most countries around world with little/no crime minimize prisoner comfort and maximize punishment…which brings little to no recidivism…in US up to 90% of felons are habitual recidivists

The climate is changing? You guys also want AC in prisons. Doesn’t that contribute to climate change?

The easiest fix? Don’t commit crimes. Pretty simple I would think.
