🌟 Ever wondered what happens to a tin of beans when you donate it? Here's the journey of one tin from your hands to those in need: 1️) Buy a tin – It all starts with you! You purchase a tin of beans and decide to make a difference. 2️) Donate the tin – You drop it off at one of our collection points, knowing it'll help someone in need. 3️) We sort the tin – Our amazing volunteers sort and organise all donated tins by date and type, ensuring we’re rotating our stock effectively 4️) We put the tin in our community supermarket – The tin takes its place on the shelves of our community supermarket, where those facing tough times can access it. 5️) The tin then goes to those in need – Finally, the tin of beans ends up in the basket of someone who needs it, providing them with a warm, nourishing meal. Every tin counts. Every donation matters. Thank you for making a difference! 🙌 #CharityJourney #FoodBankHeroes #CommunitySupport #DonateToMakeADifference #HelpingHands #CommunitySupermarket #HappyDaysUK #HappyDaysHalifax

The most common reason people donate to a cause is because a family or friend asked them to. In fact, 4 of every 10 Americans make donations to a new organization at a loved one's encouragement, according to a 2019 YouGov Survey. So if you're looking to attract new donors during your Spring fundraising appeal, consider developing a peer-to-peer campaign. It's designed to encourage your most loyal supporters to introduce your organization to their family and friends. Not sure where to get started? Draw on our experience creating successful peer-to-peer campaigns for our clients: https://lnkd.in/gdA5y342. We've even included a download to help you craft your case for support.

Here’s how you can get involved: ● Donate new or gently used coats: Whether it’s for a child or an adult, your coat donation will help someone stay warm this winter. ● Partner with us: If you have a business or organization that would like to join the effort, let’s team up! The more we can collect, the more people we can help. ● Spread the word: Even if you can’t donate directly, you can still help by sharing our initiative with your network. The more people who know about it, the more coats we can collect for those in need.

Have you been looking for ways to give back, but aren’t sure where to focus your time? Start in these 16 states. Here, nonprofits receive almost 3x less funding than organizations in the other states – meaning your $50 or $100 can go much further. And when you give via a community grant making model like a Giving Circle, that $100 donation can become $10,000. Learn more and support nonprofits in these states here:

As the TRAPS Finance Chair, I'm encouraging everyone to take a minute to donate to the TRAPS CARE campaign. We only have 15 days left, and we need your help to reach our goal - even if it's only $5 or $10 bucks. Every dollar you donate helps TRAPS provide the connections, resources, advocacy, and education (CARE) to continue building the skills and knowledge of parks and recreation professionals, directly translating into enhanced services for our Texas communities. I will personally contribute $1 for every person who donates. No need to tell me the amount of your donation, just DM me or put "done" in the comments so I will know how many people donated. Here’s a few examples of how your donation creates positive change: $10-$25: provides educational resources to keep professionals at the forefront of their field. $50: supports TRAPS scholarships for parks and recreation professionals and students to attend conferences, workshops and professional development courses. $100: helps fund the creation of toolkits and materials to educate policymakers for better park funding. $250: supports TRAPS accredited professional development courses, enabling members to bring innovative ideas to their local communities. $500: contributes to providing annual subscriptions to industry publications and online resources, advancing professional capabilities and community services. $1,000 and Above: supports statewide workshops, maintenance rodeos, networking opportunities, awards, and other opportunities to bring our members together.

Tips from a Professional Organizer: how to keep your car neat and tidy: Bring two small bags to your car. Fill one with trash and the other with anything that doesn't belong in the car. Next, if your trunk is full of bags you've meant to donate, now is the time to bring them to the donation center.
