After interviewing nearly 1,500 interns at ten prestigious employers, we learned that students applied to internships that would help them build new skills and do interesting work. About 2 in 5 students received conversion offers, with majority being highly likely to accept. 🫱🏻🫲🏼 What made the difference? People often say interns are just ‘cheap labor,’ but let’s think about it, most interns are still building their skills and figuring things out. That’s why the exchange is experience and exposure, not just a paycheck. It’s a chance to grow and learn in the real world. Sure, they might not contribute much yet, but isn’t that the whole point of an internship?
