On April 22nd, we were thrilled to attend the AMI Stretch and Shrink Film 2024 event hosted by AMI. One of the highlights was our visit to ITENE and their impressive laboratories. 🧪 🚚 Specifically, our visit to the Transport Simulation Laboratory highlighted the significant benefits of using transport simulation machines. While the fundamental purpose of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging is comprehensive product protection, it can occasionally fall short. Here’s what we did: ♻️ Extended the lifecycle of key AM materials PA11 and PA12. 🔁Hit a 100% reuse rate for PA12, making our process waste-free. 🌟Launched PA11-ECO+, an innovative material crafted from non-reusable waste, turning it into valuable AM parts. 🌍 The GreenAM project, a 3-year journey of collaborative research into making additive manufacturing (AM) more sustainable, has wrapped up. Our mission was clear: reduce the environmental footprint of AM and improve sustainable material usage. Partnering with Materialise, Eastman, KU Leuven, ValCUN, and Ghent University, and with support from VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship, we've taken significant steps. 🚀 These accomplishments mark not just the end of GreenAM but the beginning of a new chapter in sustainable manufacturing at Ziggzagg.
