This is the one thing that changed it all. I was going to write about the many things I wish I knew when I was younger. You know, the list of pieces of advice to our former selves. But it's all useless without this. And there is no step-by-step. It's an individual journey. What I wish I did sooner in life.... The hardest single thing I have ever done in my life was to learn to love myself. Yep.  that's it. Do that and everything else will fall into place much easier.  there is more energy for true growth and development.  There is a richer sense of the world. Without it, even the best strategies and plans will get self-sabatoged.  Over and over and over. Ask me how I know. About 10 years ago I discovered and clarified my life's purpose.  The single thing that runs through every personal and business relationship.  Every venture.  Every conversation. My purpose in life?.... I help people learn to love and express themselves more fully. That's it. Think about it and you'll see. It's under #BoringExcellence It's flowing through #RichLife It's in every conversation I have. Happy Birthday to me. Happy Sunday to you! #WednesdayVibes #WednesdayWisdom #WordsofWisdom Unlike my son and I with horror/suspense/thriller movies, my husband and I love to watch action/war/crime movies. Last night we spent some time watching Lansky - it was about Meyer Lansky who was an organized crime figure. In this movie, he's telling his side of the story to perhaps change the perception of what people thought of him. There were a ton of "gems" he mentioned and one was about living to live. I thought about this for a bit and how it resonates with so many of us today. Life isn't just about existing, it's about living. Instead of going through the motions, let's embrace each moment with purpose and passion. Living to live means finding joy in the little things, pursuing our passions, and making a positive impact on the world around us. It's about waking up every morning with excitement and determination to seize the day ahead. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴? 💁 There’s a line from the film Inside Out 2 that resonated with me so deeply. 🌺"You’re likely to miss it if you don’t pay close attention"🌺 🤷 It’s the scene where Sadness shyly asks Joy if she can go down into the memory pool with her. 💁 In response, Joy takes Sadness hand into hers and says to her friend, “Of course! Remember Sadness, wherever I go, you go too.” 👂 When I heard that, I remembered how some people like to say that they are afraid of being so happy because they know that after the happiness, sadness follows. 🙆 That’s really no way to live, and neither is it true. 🤦 One doesn’t follow the other because they always travel together, side by side, hand in hand. 🫴 Joy and sadness are like the railroad tracks. 🤷 Even on the saddest of days, if we look hard enough, and allow ourselves to experience it, there will always be some joy to be found. 🫴 Likewise, even on the most joyful of days, like the birth of a child, a wedding, a graduation, a championship, or a promotion, when we remember that someone or something is missing, there will always be that tinge of sadness. 💁 So when we say that we are grateful for life, we cannot just be grateful for the joyful moments, we can also learn to be grateful for the sad parts. 😊 We can always learn to be grateful for all of it. 🤗 Joy and sadness carry us (or we carry them) as we move forward from one season of life to the next. 🫵 Have you watched this movie? 🤔 What were your breakthrough moments? #learningfrommovie #insideout #joyandsadness #mytakeaways
