One thing I know for sure: Don’t listen to the doubters.
There will always be people who doubt you, just make sure you are not one of them.
You silence the doubters by:
1. Staying focused on your vision.
2. Remember how far you have come
3. Celebrating your wins
4. Stay committed to your goals
5. Surround yourself with support
You got this!

I won rookie of the year. Well not really.
Someone recently wanted to nominate me for Rookie of the Year, saying I’d be a strong contender.
And based on the other nominations, they might be right.
But the award? Mostly a popularity contest driven by social media votes—so I decided to pass.
It’s not just that, though. I’m hard on myself, and I always feel I’m only as good as my last sale, like how I push myself with marathons.
Sure, “Rookie of the Year” might look great on paper. But my focus is on the long game, on building sustainable lasting success.
Looking at the numbers:
⚾️ Only 17 out of 150 MLB Rookie of the Year winners have been inducted into the Hall of Fame—that’s just 11%.
⚾️ Only 30% of ROY winners go on to have “great careers” with All-Star selections or MVP awards.
⚾️ And 94% of Hall of Famers? They were not Rookies of the Year.
Maybe it’s superstitious, maybe it’s just my way of keeping focused.
But I’ll take those odds and keep working for the kind of success that lasts.
All teams want the same thing: to win.
It’s not what the teams want that gets the win.
It’s what the teams were willing to do in the days and weeks before the game that earns the win.
Greatness is not about what you want.
It’s about what you’re willing to do.
What’s one recent win you’re proud of?
Big success is built on small victories.
Whether it’s launching a project, mentoring a team member, or solving a tough issue; every step counts.
What’s one recent win you’re proud of? Share it below so we can celebrate together.
NEVER bet against a WINNER. They will somehow find a way to WIN
They may be down, behind on the scoreboard, they may doubt, and overlooked ...but get this straight, they are gonna find a way to WIN.
Eventually, winners find a damn way to get winning done. It’s their IDENTITY, it’s their STANDARD. It’s who they are.
Never, Ever underestimate the HEART of a CHAMPION.
If you have someone you know who is just flat out a winner, pull them closer to you, it’s CONTAGIOUS.
What’s really crazy, is if two winners get together and decide to join forces in a business, on a team, in a relationship towards a common goal. That’s a scary combination, it’s a powerful force.
You put three, four, five winners in a room or on a team together and the winning is inevitable
The crazy thing about most winners? They Would never say this about themselves to you… They keep this belief inside and they use it as a FORCE of nature
Their current circumstances, do not define them, they are not deterred by setbacks. They know they will ultimately be defined by where they FINISH, not where they start and not where they are in the middle of their pursuit of the victory

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭"
At a recent leadership conference, I had the pleasure of listening to James Michael Lafferty, Olympic Coach & Corporate Leader . He spoke about what sets "𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬" apart from "𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬"!! Amongst the several golden nuggets of wisdom that James shared, what stuck with me is the example of the legendary 𝑬𝒅𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒍𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒄 𝑯𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒓 and it prompted me to research more about Edwin.
In today's VUCA and BANI world, we constantly seek inspiration and guidance from exemplary figures who embody dedication, resilience, and excellence. Edwin's journey offers profound lessons that are incredibly relevant.
1. 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚
Edwin Moses' remarkable winning streak of 122 consecutive races over nearly a decade is a testament to his unwavering discipline and consistency. In our industry, maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional service consistently are key to earning our customers' trust and loyalty.
2. 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
Edwin was known for his innovative training methods and techniques, which gave him a competitive edge, for example, having studied mechanical engineering, he literally changed the game by applying some of those principles to increase his speed across the track by reducing the number of strides between each hurdle from 15 to 13 to 12 and alternating his legs in between to jump each hurdle. Similarly, in the fast-paced world of a consumer business, embracing innovation and being adaptable to changing trends and customer preferences helps us differentiate but continuous innovation is what keeps us ahead.
3. 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔
Despite numerous challenges and setbacks, Edwin's perseverance never wavered. His ability to stay focused and overcome obstacles is a powerful reminder that resilience is essential. Whether it's navigating supply chain disruptions or adapting to new regulations, our perseverance ensures our success in the consumer sector.
4. 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚
Beyond his athletic achievements, Edwin has been a leader in advocating for fairness and integrity in sports. As leaders, we must champion ethical practices and create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
Please feel free to share your learnings and impressions about Edwin Moses in the comments!

This resonated with me.
Funny how we often see things at apt times.
There are no coincidences.
I was just reading an email which got my brain in a ‘scarcity spin’.
The first thing I do when this happens is to pause. Take stock and look at fact.
I decided to stop what I was doing and take a minute.
So I picked up my phone and opened LinkedIn.
This is what I saw…
If you are having a moment…
Remember that opportunity is all around.
Success is there for the taking.
We can all be successful in business and in our lives - especially when we collaborate and share.
Keep supporting your friends, colleagues, young entrepreneurs. It will come back to you tenfold.
When you’re running your own business there are those ‘oh fuck’ moments where you feel like you aren’t going to make it. Like it’s too hard.
Guess what, if it was easy everyone would be doing it.
You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Surround yourself with supportive people.
Keep going.

Too many people think they are competing with each other - when they aren’t.
You can be successful.
Your friends can be successful.
One person doesn’t have to lose for you to win.
