You Typically Want What You Can’t Have With dieting and regimes that encourage you to completely avoid or cut out certain food groups, your body and your cravings go up, since it is not natural or normal for your body to be without something. Your body perceives a lack of food as a genuine lack of food, and so it creates stronger cravings to convince you to get it. When you disallow yourself from eating something, that will be all you can think about, even if it’s not something you necessarily truly like. So, when it comes to dieting, this behavior causes many problems. That’s why learning how to trust yourself, your body, and your behavior through intuitive eating is important so that you can stop being run purely on cravings and punishment for “giving in” to them. If you allow yourself to have something, you will not want it as much. I have more treats and food in my house that I used to never allow than ever before, and I have less desire to eat them than ever because I know it’s there, I know I can have it whenever I want, and so that desire for it goes down. Are you someone who finds themselves getting tired at 4 pm? I do. It turns out that sugar spikes throughout the day could be the culprit, leaving us feeling drained and unproductive. But there's a solution! I recently heard a suggestion that could help. The order in which you eat your meals can lower the sugar spike of a given meal by up to 75%. Start by eating vegetables first, followed by protein and then carbohydrates. This tip comes from Simon Sinek's podcast featuring the Glucose Goddess Jessie I. where you can learn all the science as to why this works. Check out the podcast episode here: https://lnkd.in/eAEGWzCv Give it a try and let's see if it improves our productivity! #4pmfeeling #productivity
