Exclusive interview with CEO of UIS insurance Mr. Jihad Faitrouni with Abu Dhabi TV Al Zafra. 1.Tell us about the responsibilities of the driver and the insurance company in minor accidents? The vehicle owner must follow specific legal procedures when an accident occurs. This adherence is crucial to ensure both the protection of the driver's rights and the insurance company's interests. Insurance companies have set processes to protect themselves and the insured. 2. Does insurance refuse to pay during accidents in cases such as moving the car from the scene of the accident in minor accidents? if an accident obstructs traffic, the law permits moving the vehicle to a safe location. However, doing so may complicate the accident investigation, as physical evidence is critical in determining responsibility. it will be difficult for experts to assign responsibility. 3. Is it sufficient to prove to the insurance companies who is affected and who is responsible? Or there’s other procedures required by the insurance company? While reports and dialogues help determine fault, additional protective measures are often required. Insurance companies take precautions to avoid manipulation of evidence. The law ensures fair treatment for all parties. 4.What are the cases that allow insurance companies to recover accident compensation? When multiple insurance companies are involved, the responsible party's insurer is liable to cover the damages. This is referred to as rehabilitation, where insurers resolve claims based on contractual agreements and liability. 5. What is the solution if the driver's license expires and the car insurance continues and an accident occurs, how is this matter dealt with? Drivers must keep their licenses valid. Authorities issue reminders about expiration and fines are imposed for delays (10 dirhams per day). In cases of accidents with an expired license, the situation is reviewed to find a fair resolution, considering the reason behind the non-renewal. 6. How is intentional accident proven by the insurance company, which is one of the cases that the insurance company is not obliged to compensate for? Insurance companies use technology and regulatory support to investigate and detect fraudulent claims. Proven intentional accidents are not covered, and companies rely on accumulated market experience to handle these cases efficiently. https://lnkd.in/dXH7YdAP #insurance #accident #drivinglicense #marketexperience #alzafra #abudhabitv #liability #accidents #car #traffic #investigation #responsibility #driver #insurancecompany #law #authority

Legal Requirements: In the UAE, motor insurance is mandatory for all vehicle owners. The law requires that every car on the road must have at least a third-party liability insurance policy. Factors Influencing Premiums: Several factors can affect the cost of your motor insurance premium in the UAE, including: Vehicle Type and Age: Newer and more expensive vehicles generally cost more to insure. Driver’s Age and Experience: Younger and less experienced drivers may face higher premiums. Claim History: A clean claim history can help in obtaining lower premiums. 4. Benefits of Comprehensive Coverage: Opting for comprehensive insurance provides peace of mind with broader protection. This type of policy covers: Accidental damage Theft Natural calamities Vandalism 5. Choosing the Right Policy: Selecting the right policy involves assessing your individual needs and vehicle use. Consider factors such as the vehicle’s value, your driving habits, and your budget. Comparing different policies and insurers can also help you find the best coverage at competitive rates. 6. Claim Process: In the event of an accident, it’s important to follow the correct procedure for filing a claim. Document the incident thoroughly, report it to the police, and notify your insurer promptly. Understanding your policy’s claim process can expedite the resolution.
