Tbh as a technician I do not mind having a camera I do believe it contributes to our safety! However I do not like that the events even when proved they were good events still hit our driver scores and aren’t removed! And we’ve never been showed the footage of any events and in the article the way I’m reading it it says that we should be reviewing them as well! 🤷♀️ I think my neighbors being recorded after hours because the camera doesn’t shut off until the battery dies will end up as more of a issue in our companies future!

Like having a babysitter with you all day long. It’s completely absurd and definitely has you constantly looking at your speed and trying to stay under the limit and not paying attention to the road.

7moAs a former USIC tech I can say this hurts your technicians heavily. The job is stressful enough, and today's technicians are micromanaged more than ever. Adding a new stress of constant telematic as well as video surveillance does nothing but make the job more stressful and less desirable. One of the worst feelings I had while a technician was while getting ready to leave for work in the morning and having the daily telematics report for the previous day came through my email, and I got to find out whether I drove perfectly for 10-12 hours or if god-forbid I hit the brake just a hair too hard once in a long day of protecting the public.
