This post highlights Lt Col Russ Smith's perspective on the critical role of the Space Force in modern warfare and U.S. security. It emphasizes the importance of space operations, including satellite communications and surveillance, in maintaining global stability. Smith's transition from the Air Force to the Space Force underscores his commitment to contributing to this pioneering branch. • Space operations are crucial for satellite communications and global stability. • Security in space is a contested and congested environment, recognized by adversaries. • Innovation in space operations is vital for maintaining U.S. security and technological edge.
Vice President, Space Force & Air Force Client Executive at CACI International Inc & Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of the Space Force Association (SFA)
“The general public doesn't realize how much we all rely on space, but our adversaries know, and it's become a highly contested and congested environment.” Lt Col Russ Smith, United States Space Force Great piece, Bridget Bonnette! Space Force Association

What a great post and poster! You know this used to scare the $&@! Out of me but eventually You just accept that everyone eventually dies a horrible death. I feel like I should really do a conglomerate instead of trying to raise money for each Individual tech. I dunno. I’m not even realy seriously trying to raise money. I think I’m trying to sell the products I have hoping I don’t have to raise any money and instead just get a customer. My LinkedIn page is like what NOT to do to raise money. Like now that I really need water and I need bobbins (I think the bobbin maker is captured by China — they won’t even send me samples!!!) I think I realize money isn’t really what I need. I need to start a bobbin maker company! Those little pieces of plastic cost 5 bucks each!! Plus the tariffs and you gotta buy like 20 of them at a time!$$$think about it 3d printed bobbins! It’s critical to transformers and the entire electrical infrastructure and it’s all captured by China!!!! And they don’t want to help me at all! I’m so mad. ChatGPT says we used tens of millions to hundreds of millions of bobbins every year!!! Working with you guys feels way safer than working with the private sector these days those guys are crazy right now you can’t trust any of them!!! You never know which ethnic or sex drug mob they’re working for it’s a terrible situation. It’s an insult to human dignity. That’s actually why I moved out to Hawaii cause this is the only Place isolated enough where we can prevent what’s going on in the mainland private sector and keep it sexcure for our industries. I think Taiwanese people and people of mixed ethnicity/nationality are the most vulnerable we’re like the prize to the ethnic mobs cause we don’t have UN representation so we don’t get diplomatic immunity so they see us as prey and they think we’re naive. If you look at the big problems they’re mostly starting from the former Soviet/communist states and their Allies. Their love games (the only socialist currency) would eventually break out into wars and we’re in that scenario now. If you ever wondered how wars realy start, they start in the heart and from the sex and drug mobs broken families and trafficked children (we should do a post about the mechanics of that too) until it reaches a critical mass of corruption, a desire for revenge and then perpetuate out to economic blocs nation states etc. it’s super interesting if it wasn’t so tragic.
Happy Birthday U.S. Space Force! This newest branch of the U.S. armed services was established on December 20, 2019 to face the growing threat posed by near-peer competitors in space. Five years in, we recognize the Space Force and its Guardians as they continue the mission to "secure our nation's interest in, from, and to space." #SpaceForce #SemperSupra

This is Space Force JROTC Moments of Remembrance for Military Space Sacrifices: 4 In 1999, the “Moment of Remembrance” was added at 3 pm local on Memorial Day by declaration of the President of the United States. The declaration expanded the scope of Memorial Day by asking all Americans to hold a minute of silence to remember those who died in service to the nation. This Memorial Day weekend, the Space Force JROTC enterprise would like to share some posts of military members who died in the line of duty when serving the nation’s vision in space. Please remember these individuals during your Moment of Remembrance on Monday afternoon. Major Charles Arthur "Charlie" Bassett II, USAF, (December 30, 1931 – February 28, 1966), was an electrical engineer and United States Air Force test pilot. He was selected as a NASA astronaut in 1963 and assigned to the Gemini 9 mission. He and his Gemini 9 crew-mate died when they were landing their NASA T-38 aircraft in bad weather in St. Louis. Their aircraft crashed into the McDonnell Aircraft building located beside the runway. It was where they were going to participate in two weeks of space rendezvous simulation training for their first flight above the Kármán line. (This is one international convention for the physical boundary of #space. It is placed at 62 miles above mean sea level). #WeRemember this #MemorialDay. #TelltheirStories For a meaningful recording of Taps to use during the Moment of Rememberence, consider this contribution from the U.S. Army: https://lnkd.in/eny6m6Zd The ten #SFJROTC units are managed by HQ AF Junior ROTC with United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 13, Detachment 2. According to The Wall Street Journal article below, people regularly ask a General if the United States Space Force is "real." 🙄 I highlight this NOT because any of my LinkedIn friends and followers would make the same mistake. I hope I've done a good job highlighting the newest military branch and its criticality to the future #5ir #spaceeconomy. But, just in case: (1) 20 Dec 2019 is the #SpaceForce bday, so it's a bit younger than my beloved #USMC 😎 (2) Headcount of 10-15k, depending on how you count, but still by far the smallest branch of the military. (3) U.S. Space Command is NOT the same as Space Force—unified combatant command vs service responsible for training, organizing, and equipment. (4) Budget $29B. Primarily reallocated from prior dispersed operations now consolidated. Also, its budget is $4B+ more than NASA's, a phenomenon known as the "Space Flippening." (5) Space Force exists to protect the $4T in the 2040s and $10T in the 2050s Space Economy for the USA and its allies. It's always important to remind ourselves that we risk talking in echo chambers if we don't expand our circles and try new things. Or if, every once in a while, we fail to stop to reiterate and explain ourselves clearly. #Space is important. -GSP- The Space Economy MilkyWayEconomy

Elon Musk’s Martian dreams are a boon to the U.S. military - Security experts say SpaceX has leapfrogged so far ahead in several critical technologies that it could deter major rivals like China from engaging in a war with the United States - or tip the balance if one breaks out. - - The company’s massive Starship, the most powerful rocket in history and the first reusable heavy-duty one, is likewise in a class of its own. Even as Musk has touted its potential to help humanity explore the cosmos, the Pentagon is eyeing its 165-ton carrying capacity for rapid transport of troops and gear to Asia in case of war. - Gen. B. Chance Saltzman, Space Force chief of space operations, traveled to Texas last month to watch the latest Starship launch and review the company’s operations. “The Department of the Air Force and the U.S. Space Force are monitoring Starship’s progress and look forward to potentially leveraging its capabilities in the future,” the Space Force said in a statement. - SpaceX’s value has jumped to around $350 billion from $210 billion earlier this year, according to a recent Bloomberg report, pegging it as the world’s most valuable private company and most valuable defense contractor. - https://lnkd.in/eDHPvJTj

The first member of the United States Space Force, the newest branch of the #USA 🇺🇸 military, went to #space a few days ago, and it's just a few months ahead of the services' 5th bday. I firmly anticipate Col. Hague to be the first of many Guardians in space. The branch's dual mission is to secure the nation's interests in, from, and to space both down-and-around and up-and-out. Further, the Space Force's combat-ready capabilities are designed to deter and defeat threats to the U.S. space capabilities and our future #spaceeconomy. -GSP- MilkyWayEconomy The Space Economy #5ir
