Delighted to announce our team's participation in the Tri-NIT Hackathon'24 held in March. 🚧 Project: Automated Road Damage Detection for Infrastructure Maintenance. 👥 Collaborated with my friends, Nivetha S B , Naazira Shareefa , and Lahari P to develop a CNN model that utilized YOLO as a foundation to automatically detect and categorize road damage. Problem Statement : Manual inspection of road conditions can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, leading to delays in identifying and repairing damaged roads. 🎯 Our goal is to develop a classification model capable of automatically detecting and categorizing road damage from images, and videos (captured through CC cameras, phones, etc.), in order to make the maintenance process efficient. 🔍 We have used YOLO (You Only Look Once), a real‑time object detection algorithm. Our dataset has images of roads with background and Our model involves object detection to capture only roads (using YOLO), followed by classifying the damaged roads. 📜 Despite the challenges, receiving the participation certificate validates our dedication, perseverance, and passion for innovation. 🌟 A huge shoutout to the organizers for providing this opportunity and thanks to my teammates for their unwavering support throughout the event. #Hackathon #TriNIT #Teamwork #Innovation #RoadMaintenance #YOLO #MachineLearning

I'm thrilled to share the groundbreaking work of our team at Jaasus Solutions, where we're revolutionizing the way Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) is detected and marked in conflict zones. 🔍 What We Did: Our team has tackled a critical challenge during a recent hackathon competition sponsored by Los Alamos National Laboratory. Faced with the task of addressing UXO detection needs, we dove headfirst into creating a solution that could save lives and protect communities. 💡 Our Solution: Leveraging our diverse skills and expertise, we developed an innovative unmanned system equipped with drone technology and advanced sensors. Our solution automates the process of UXO identification and GPS transmission, allowing for the swift detection of hazardous devices in complex terrain. 🌟 Our Success: Against stiff competition, our team emerged victorious, securing 2nd place among 10 competing teams.
