How I helped DBS Bank launch the DBS Foundation Campaign: To celebrate DBS Foundation’s 10th anniversary, the organisation is committing SGD 1 billion to support vulnerable communities over the next decade. This initiative positions DBS Foundation as a catalyst for impactful change, aiming to inspire both public and internal stakeholders to engage and offer their support. I find this a meaningful event and I have an idea to help launch it. To effectively launch this initiative, I have selected three different mediums across various channels: 1️⃣ Social Media Post: Targeting external audiences 2️⃣ Promotional Video: Engaging both internal and external audiences 3️⃣ eDM: Communicating with internal staff 💡 Design Concept Development: The campaign focuses on supporting the vulnerable and recruiting volunteers, centred on the theme of people helping one another. The design element chosen for this campaign is the “hand,” symbolising action and concepts like “helping hand,” “care,” and “give and receive.” Different skin tones are used to demonstrate cultural inclusivity, and the visuals' rounded shapes create a friendly and approachable atmosphere. The simplified illustration style gives a modern and endearing appearance, aligning with contemporary trends. 📌 Social Media Post: To enhance searchability, the hashtag “#VolunteerWithDBSF” was introduced. A handwriting-style font was chosen for the tagline to add a personal touch and align with the DBSF logo. 📌 Promotional Video: An upbeat song with a lively tempo was selected to boost morale, aligning with contemporary trends. The video is concise and straight to the point, with a caption directing viewers to sign up or find out more. 📌 eDM for Internal Staff: For the eDM header, images reflecting tasks such as providing financial sessions and volunteering were selected. The hand illustration was used as an icon to make the content clearer and more engaging. Staff are reminded to use the campaign hashtag to help promote the event on social media. Disclaimer: DBS Bank contacted me for ideas for this campaign, which I contributed voluntarily. For official information about the campaign, please refer to DBS's website. The content and concepts herein are created for demonstration purposes. 🎉A special announcement on My Birthday! I’m thrilled to share with you all that, as of this week, I am officially stepping into the role of Fundraising Manager for the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF), managed by American Councils for International Education This opportunity holds special meaning for me, and I couldn’t think of a better day to announce it than my birthday. KAEF has long been a pillar in fostering economic development in Kosova through education, and I feel deeply privileged to be part of this mission. For me, this role is more than a job—it’s a responsibility and a cause I hold close to my heart. This year is especially significant as KAEF marks its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of inspiring change makers. To honor this milestone, we are organizing a special gala with all proceeds going directly towards future fellowships, ensuring that even more talented Kosovars can pursue higher education in the U.S. and make a meaningful impact on Kosova’s future. You can learn more about this exciting event here: https://shorturl.at/ATN1q Having experienced first-hand the transformative power of education in the U.S. as a graduate student, I know the immense potential it unlocks for young Kosovars. However, I also understand the challenges that come with it. As Fundraising Manager, my goal is to ensure KAEF continues to grow and expand its impact, so even more fellows can benefit and contribute to the future of Kosova. There are countless ways to give back to your country, and for me, this is the path I’ve chosen. Supporting KAEF means investing in the future leaders of Kosova, and I am committed to doing everything I can to make this mission a success. Here’s to new beginnings, to 20 years of KAEF, and to continuing the journey of empowering the next generation. 💫 #KAEF #KosovoAmericanEducationFund #AmericanCouncils #FundraisingManager #Education #Kosova #EconomicDevelopment #GivingBack #Empowerment #20YearsOfKAEF #KAEF20 #GalaCelebration #InvestInTheFuture

As we wrap up at Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) in Singapore, we’re proud to have announced that Tanoto Foundation helped spearhead the launch of two major educational initiatives that will have a lasting impact on land and sea. Firstly, we have committed to the role of Community Pioneer of the Holistic & Inclusive Education Community, supported by Temasek Foundation. The Community, co-developed with Philanthropy Asia Alliance members, will adopt a comprehensive approach to support access to high-quality education for children during their early years of development. Secondly, we also announced our memorandum of understanding with global ocean exploration non-profit, OceanX, run by Dalio Philanthropies, to collaborate on programming and ocean educational opportunities in Indonesia and Singapore. This is part of our continuing efforts to cultivate future leaders who will have a positive impact on the oceans, as well as giving back to their communities. Speaking at a PAS panel on ‘Philanthropy’s Role in Addressing Education Challenges in Asia’, Benny Lee, CEO, Tanoto Foundation said: “We are confident that the Community will be a platform for us to work collaboratively with like-minded organisations in what can be called the PPPP model - Philanthropic Public Private Partnerships - to scale up programs to increase support for impactful educational programs across the region. More fundamentally, this helps us to play a catalytic role in driving systemic and sustainable changes by working with stakeholders including Governments, schools, educators and families. The Community is not just about pooling resources, but also about bringing in knowledge, networks and expertise, so we can all move together in this journey to shape the future of education”. #Education #Philanthropy #PAS #Partnership #TanotoFoundation

Beyond the LDA Program Each year, we support a group of locally-led partners to take part in our 9-month Localization Development Accelerator (LDA) program. Upon graduation, they become part of a lifelong network of locally-led partner organizations, right at the forefront of driving change within their communities. Over the past 16 years, we’ve worked with 41 partner organizations. Since graduating and becoming part of the collective, they’ve garnered a remarkable $962,346 in new donations, participated in 16 sponsored peer-to-peer learning sessions, and attended 63 ongoing learning opportunities through MAMA HOPE's referrals, including conferences, fellowships, and online training, among other accomplishments. The collective is designed to strengthen the locally-led movement, providing #Mentorship to emerging organizations and securing a voice in the global development arena, fostering #SustainableImpact worldwide. It's truly exciting to catch up with our partners in various spaces as they #network, pitch ideas, and engage in #Fundraising activities. Seeing them navigate these environments with such confidence and ease reassures us of the essential role that systems-strengthening programs play in global development. Learn more about our #LDAProgram and how you can support grassroots locally-led organizations to be a part of this amazing network >> https://hubs.la/Q02VDvJ30 📸 Vincent Mwangi, Director of Programs, reconnects with collective members Denis Muwanguzi Team Leader, Budondo Intercultural Center (Uganda), and Ingrid Villaseñor, Director and Founder at Tejiendo Futuros (Guatemala) at Opportunity Collaboration in Mexico. #FundFacelessImpact
