We need to recruit corporations and job creators like Joby Aviation to our states. They are the future and have no other agenda but the future. Recruiting forward-thinking companies like Joby Aviation, which is working on innovations in electric air taxis, could indeed position states as leaders in future-focused industries. These companies bring high-quality jobs, stimulate economic growth, and often drive advancements in technology, infrastructure, and sustainability. By attracting businesses that prioritize innovation and future-oriented solutions, states can create hubs for cutting-edge industries, from green technology to advanced manufacturing. Supporting these companies can also inspire local educational institutions to build relevant programs, aligning workforce skills with industry needs. Plus, companies like Joby Aviation focus on green transportation, which aligns with broader sustainability goals and may attract talent interested in working on transformative, meaningful projects. To succeed in recruiting these job creators, states might consider offering incentives like tax breaks, grants for research and development, infrastructure improvements, and partnerships with local universities. By positioning themselves as supportive environments for innovation, states can drive economic growth in a way that aligns with a future-focused agenda that benefits both the business and the local community.
On Veterans Day, we express our gratitude every person who has served for their commitment and dedication to our nation — and in particular the many veterans who are part of the Joby team. Thank you for your service, and Happy Veterans Day!

Alfa Mike Foxtrot: A Farewell to Brotherhood “Alfa Mike Foxtrot” – a phrase that echoes through the ranks, a blunt, no-nonsense way to say goodbye. In military life, goodbyes are more than just words; they’re a transition, a shift from one world to another. When it’s time to take that final step out of uniform and into civilian life, “Alfa Mike Foxtrot” captures the grit, camaraderie, and respect shared among those who served. It’s not just an exit but a bond expressed in the only way we know—raw and real. The military isn’t just a career; it’s a brotherhood. We’ve sweated through training, stood together through endless drills, and faced uncertainty as a team. That shared experience builds connections that last beyond duty stations and deployments. As we head into civilian life, we carry the spirit of that brotherhood with us. Though the uniform comes off, the bond remains.

Thank you, Divergent and Czinger Vehicles veterans, for your service. Yesterday, November 10th, was the birthay of the United States Marine Corps. It reminded me of my service as an enlisted infantry rifleman in the Marine Corps Reserves. I will never forget my Senior Drill Instructor, (then) Staff Sergeant Robert Romero, at Parris Island. The lessons I learned there left an indelible mark on the rest of my life. The 11 USMC leadership principles include: 1.Know yourself and seek self-improvement. 2.Be technically and tactically proficient. 3.Know your people and look out for their welfare. 4.Keep your personnel informed. 5.Set the example. 6.Ensure the task is understood, supervised, and accomplished. 7.Train your Marines (and Sailors) as a team. 8.Make sound and timely decisions. 9.Develop a sense of responsibility among your subordinates. 10.Employ your command within its capabilities. 11.Seek responsibilities and take responsibility. Marines exist by a set of enduring core values and standards that create the bedrock of personal character. Semper Fi

Not Just a Label: The Power of Being a Veteran Labels. We encounter them every day - some given to us, some we assign to ourselves. But have you ever stopped to think about the labels that truly define us, the ones we actively choose to embrace and embody? As a veteran, I've come to realize that being labeled as such isn't just a title bestowed upon us; it's a conscious decision we make to take action, to serve, to sacrifice, and to protect. It's a label that encompasses a wealth of experiences, skills, and values that shape who we are and how we navigate the world around us. Unfortunately, many outside of the military will not take the time to try and understand them. (I am not suggesting it's their responsibility to do so.) What sets the label of a veteran apart is that it's not merely a description of what we've done; it's a reflection of who we are at our core. It signifies a commitment to something greater than ourselves, a dedication to duty, honor, and country. But beyond the uniform and the accolades, being a veteran is about the intangible qualities that define our character - resilience in the face of adversity, leadership in times of uncertainty, and a deep sense of camaraderie that binds us together as a community. So, the next time you hear the label "veteran," I encourage you to see beyond the surface and recognize the depth of experience and strength that lies beneath. It's not just a title; it's a testament to the values we hold dear and the actions we've taken to uphold them. To my fellow veterans: Wear the label proudly, for it is a symbol of your unwavering commitment and the legacy you continue to build every day. #Veteran #ProudToServe #MilitaryCommunity #Labels #Identity #Strength #Leadership

🎖 Honoring Veterans and Celebrating Legacy As we reflect on service and sacrifice, I want to share a few things that being a Veteran taught me—lessons that extend well beyond the military. During my time in uniform, I learned about discipline, resilience, and teamwork in ways that shape how I approach every challenge. Military life didn’t just prepare me to serve my country—it taught me how to approach every aspect of my life with purpose and integrity. From strategic planning to mentoring others, these lessons continue to guide my journey. Today, I apply those same principles in helping teams and individuals craft their own visions and build paths to their goals. Veterans have unique perspectives that bring resilience and resolve to any environment, and I’m proud to carry that legacy forward in my work. Veterans Day is a reminder that service doesn’t end when we leave the military. It’s about applying what we’ve learned and continuing to make an impact—whether on a team, in a community, or in personal growth. To my fellow Veterans—how has your service shaped your journey? Let’s share and celebrate the ways we’re all still making a difference.

Veterans Day is a day of deep significance, honoring the courage and dedication of those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. It is a moment to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by individuals who put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we enjoy as a country. As a retired First Sergeant (1SG), this day is especially meaningful, as it reminds me of the countless brothers and sisters I served alongside – men and women whose strength, resilience, and commitment created bonds that are unbreakable and lasting. The bonds formed in service run deeper than words; they are forged in shared challenges, triumphs, and moments of vulnerability, creating a family that extends far beyond the uniform; a family for life. Veterans Day is not just a commemoration; it is a testament to the loyalty, unity, and resilience that define service to our country. To me, Veterans Day holds immense importance as it embodies gratitude and remembrance, a chance to honor those who served and those who continue to serve. It’s a day that reinforces the sense of family forged through shared challenges and triumphs; a bond that remains even after the uniform is set aside. It is a moment to honor their stories, reflect on our shared legacy, and reaffirm that our commitment to each other and to this country endures beyond the uniform. This day celebrates the bonds of a family that service creates – one marked by loyalty, trust, and a deep, unyielding respect. Veterans Day is a reminder that our commitment to each other and to the values we defended is lifelong, symbolizing respect, appreciation, and an enduring pledge to never forget. 11 | 11 | 2024 – Veterans Day #veteransday #leadership #legacy #service #servantleadership #loyalty #duty #respect #selflessservice #honor #integrity #personalcourage
